Description
I was going to wait until I got better shots of this dress before posting it up.. and I had planned to do a photoshoot over my winter break to put up here, but um.. I go back to school on Wednesday and have no desire to put that thing back on. So here it goes for now:I spent 40+ hours on this dress, and it weighs about 20-30 lbs all together.
All the pieces were made by me: The Chemise, Corset, Spanish Farthingale, petticoat, forepart, and over dress.
It was loosely based off of a portrait of the Lady Jane Grey, but I changed the colors of the fabric, seeing as how Orange and Gold on me= terrible.
I will be doing a photoshoot probably in the Spring with better detail of it all, but for now.. classroom photo.

Gorgeous dress! All that's needed now is the French hood and the black satin veil hanging behind it.

Haha, I hope so. You can't have a Tudor gown without the French hood. It makes the outfit incomplete, in my opinion.

Haha, because it has 22 yards of plastic bones in it, and a crap ton of steel in the Farthingale, corset and dress.
It is heavy.. lol

I'd still do it anyways. Call it "dress deconstruction".

My thoughts still remain the same; you are amazingly talented, and this dress is remarkably beautiful. I'm sure there are details we aren't able to see here [such as the texture of the fabric], but when you do your photoshoot in spring, I feel that that's going to change.
Regardless, it's a wonderful work of art. I can't wait to see what other sorts of things you'll be coming up with.
