Haha, I have that coffee pot I love all your drawings about these characters, all the little details in the environment. I wish I knew more about the story

"The House in which..." is a book about a charity-school for handicapped kids. These kids, which aren't kids in their souls, created their own world, The House. This book feels like a mix of "One Flew over the Cockoo's Nest", "Katawa Shojo", "Haibane Renmei" and IPL's games.
This picture shows us Sphinx and his girlfriend Mermaid relaxing in the "Coffe pot" - one of the classrooms that inhabitants of The House are using as a cafe.

Thanks I've been wanting to read it ever since I first saw fanart for it. Unfortunately, bookdepository only has it in Russian (that's the only online place I consider buying books from. It has free worldwide delivery. Otherwise, shipping is more expensive than the book itself

Well, the problem is that this book was published only in two languages: Russian and Italian. I'm going to translate 's "The Longest Night" based on one of the chapters, but I have no idea when I will do it.

Hmm... I wonder why is there no English translation yet. Maybe Kickstarter could help if it's a matter of money. I'd certainly contribute. Please let me know when you finish with "The Longest Night", I'd love to read it

It's rather matter of time and enthusiasm... Maybe notabenoind can help?..

Oh, I didn't know about notabenoind either. I had to google translate the page So it's a place where people collectively translate stuff? I would totally get into that, that really sounds like a lot of fun.
On the other hand, I'm not sure this would work for an entire novel. It kinda needs a single vision (and "voice") to get the message across properly, I think. Otherwise it would seem written by many different people.

Well, you got it right, it's a website for a collective translations.
And it's quite possible to translate the whole big book with this website, I guess. The problem is that, we'll need a native English speaker to check the whoole translation and to make it look as a one piece.
By the way, maybe you've heard that, some guys from the IPL really likes this book and they used it as a source of inspiration. At least the development of the "Knock-Knock" had been influenced by the "House in which..."

I didn't know that IPL are fans, either... the Russian internet is a mysterious, barely accessible world full of treasures. I'm grateful for any information you nice English-speaking Russians can smuggle for me

Well, currently I'm helping to one guy with getting information from the Russian-languaged part of the interwebs, and I like what I'm doing. So... if you have any questions or if you want to find some information - feel free to ask any time.

Well, one ever-present interest of mine is anything connected to IPL - both what they post themselves and fanart galleries, for instance. Even just sharing some links is valuable, sometimes Google translate does its job. Most of the stuff is better translated by a human, of course, but I'll take what I can for now
Another thing that interests me is public reaction in Russia to the Ukraine conflict. In times like these I regret most that I can't read Russian...

Well, even though I like IPL's games a lot, I've never really interested who IPL actually are. Because, you know... When I'm reading about themm it makes me feel bad. They are creative people, with unusual minds and imagination and reach inner world... Bohemians! And who I am? Livestock, who's the only purpose is to feed them. Because I'm one of the "Order". Gray mass. Even if I have something in my head, I don't have a right to express. Because I'm just an ordinary factory worker, whose place in this world is his machine. Cattle. Proletarian. Bydlo. *sigh* That's how it feels when I touch the border of the bohemians' life.
But don't worry about it, I'll see what can I dig out. After all, I'm a member of the IPL's fanclub in the vkontakte, which provides me latest IPL's news.
As for the Ukraine... well, if you'll read the history carefully, you will learn that there's no such nation as the Ukrainians and there never were such a country as a Ukraine. This always was a distant part of Russia, which always had been too close to Europe, and which always had been looking to the West, thinking that the grass is greener there. Tsars were giving lands to the Ukraine, gensecs were giving lands to the Ukraine, which made this makeshift nation to think that they can live separately. And in twenty years after the fall of the Soviet Union they've lost everything and now they think that if they'll join the EU they will get absolutely everything for free and they will have a civilized life for nothing. That's why they were jumping like insane monketys on the Euromaidan, yelling Nazi mottos. That's why they are killing their own people now.
But personally I think this is USA's plan. To get Russia into the war. That's why Psaki says some insane shit now.
Although you won't believe me. And I don't want to discuss it with you. And that's not just because I don't want to hear any other opinions about this conflict, but mostly because I don't want to discuss this filth. Every time I hear news from the Ukraine, this makes me feel that this world completely went insain and the mankind deserves only nuclear rain upon their heads.
Besides, there is no truth in this conflict, so there is no point of comparing different points of view, they are all wrong.
Still I can tell the very lates news that we hear about the Ukraine and tell you Russia's point of view on some events. And you can always check the RT.com for the latest news that we assume as the truth.

It's really unexpected to read that about the "cattle"/bohemians. That's a perspective that has never occurred to me. I work in an office illustrating children's books, so I'm only on the fringes of art land, certainly not awesomely bohemian and whatever. It should be noted that I didn't finish my studies and never even studied art at all. But... I never felt bad about that, and never felt that it forbids me the right to create art. In my opinion, what you do for a living has absolutely no say in whether you can have an artistic side as well. It seems to me you're a person who notices and thinks about things, and that's all that's needed for art to happen. I would never sort people into categories just based on what they do for a living. There are great differences between two factory workers, just as there are between two artists. You have to know a man personally to know what they're capable of.
As for Ukraine, I won't discuss it if you don't want to. Thank you for sharing your opinion, even though I disagree. I will be following RT, thanks.

You see, I got this idea cattle/bohemian in my early years of working as a turner. It's hard to explain... well... nevermind. Forget it.
What is important is that it's okay, I'll get you IPL's news.
It would be nice to continue in a dialogue. Can I ask you to note me your skype account?
