Thank you
Do you actually know how happy I am right now that you read the description? You are probably one of a few persons who is doing that.
I guess Pablo will be completely alright again in a few days He already sleeps and rests the whole day and we are trying to give him as much rest as possible

Oh! Yes.
I talk to my dog all the time and he now knows words.
If I say 'left' he turns left and hundreds of others.
Don't think they cannot understand you because they can?

So, that's what you meant! Good that I asked because it could have had so many different meaningsxD
My dad sometimes does that with Pablo. I personally don't do it because I use a five meter lead and I tell him the direction through my lead. He has also learned to understand my body language. Some time ago he simply rushed in one direction, when we came to a street crossing. Now he sometimes still goes into one direction but then I give him a soft stop with the lead, he looks at me and I tell him which way I would like to take I think it's really sweet if he does that
I also used body language the first time when he was off lead and it did work well. He didn't go crazy and I was very happy about that. Still I have to be very careful if he is not on lead.

Believe me, he isxD
He gets to hear it all the time that he is sweet and sometimes I have the feeling that he becomes sweeter everyday
And for the intelligent thing: He loves it when he knows what you want him to. Otherwise he gets frustrated easily. If he knows what to do he is able to learn very quickly. The only thing you have to be careful is to not learn him something you actually don't want him to do. That's of course also something he learns easilyxD

Haha That sentence is awesome
I had to laugh really hardxD
I know some dogs who in general jump up on people but Pablo actually doesn't do itxD Is your dog doing that?
With Pablo the bad things are kind of complicated. For example he had some time when we came to a certain crossing he was so overhelmed from all the sounds and smells that he wasn't able to move. Since I started training with him I learned to not pull him on the lead and wait for him until he is ready to follow. The problem: It takes sometimes really long until he is ready in the first place. My mother had to go to her work and wasn't able to wait any longer and carried him back to our flat. Since that he always waits until she carries him home from the crossing
With me I mostly don't have a problem because I never carried him away from the crossing.

Haha.............why does he wait?????????
My dog pats my leg when he wants a cuddle and his claws hurt..........he is a big dog.
If he does this to old ladies it would hurt them, so I am trying to stop him.

Well, that's kind of difficult to explain. It is not really that Pablo would be waiting by the crossing. It is more like he isn't able to move anymore because there were too many impressions for him. If you imagine that a dog gets a lot more impressions than humans do, you will probably understand. Dogs can smell a lot better than us and they are able to know which living being was on which place. A dog is able to know that even if that happend three weeks ago! Pablo is also a very sensible dog who knows for example if a dog is on tension or how someone feels. That's really amazing but I have to take good care of him so he is not overhelmed with all this things
Oh, I can imagine that It's very easy to make him understand to not do it. I doubt that strangers would do that but you can train it with people you know. I think it would help him with strangers as well. Simply turn your back on him and stay in that position until he stops it. That means that you don't want to have anything to do with him. Not in a bad way but simply to say leave me alone for now. If he stops it, compliment him. Dogs are experts when it comes to body language
I'm sure Mistral will understand that easily

You are correct about dogs.................they know a LOT more than we do sometimes.
I have tried everything including turning away..........he is very persistent when he is jealous!!!!!
Just saved a new kitten today who was being tortured by some boys, Mistral loves her.

That's also the reason why I want nothing else that to become dog trainer I am starting a course of it in january and I am really excited for it
To time I am trying to help the dog of cousin. It's a Shiba Inu and my cousin is really overstrained with her She had had a bladder infection three times already and she is only four months old. She is as sensible as Pablo and it is kind of hard to make my cousin believe that
Furthermore there is another dog trainer in her family and I don't agree with her methods. So it hard for my cousin as well
Have you just turned your head away or your whole body? That makes a big difference. If you did that already you can try to yawn at him. With Pablo is works wonder
Omg That's really sad to hear. I simply can't understand how people can be that cruel toward animals. But I am glad to hear that you take care of her

How wonderful to hear this Rubin.........good luck.
Sounds like your Cousins dog need some love?
People can be cruel and here in France it is not a good place for animals!

Thank you I will do my best to make people understand how dogs are. They are so friendly, polite and conflict avoiding animals but sadly they are so easily missunderstood
Love is not really the right word for it, I guess, since my cousin really gives her a lot of love. She would just need more understanding, patience and rest.
The town I live in is known as very dogfriendly but way too often I see people not beeing friendly at all with their dogs. They think that they have to be the leader and make that clear to the dog. If they show any emotions like barking, they are blustered immediately because they have to behave. That's why too many dogs attack people and other dogs and then people are afraid of them. Once a man felt treated by Pablo (he didn't do anything though) and he attacked my dad. That was really horrible but at least nothing really bad happened

So right Rubin as always.
Dogs like other animals respond to kindness alone.
