A noite caiu sobre a fazenda de flores que pertencia a Nina e seu pai, todos da casa estavam acomodados para dormir, todos, exceto um. Valiente. Ele foi incapaz de dormir devido aos pensamentos pesados que atormentavam sua mente. Então ele saiu de casa e deu a volta até o canto mais distante do pátio, pensando em como se comportava no passado enquanto morava na Casa Del Toro. Tendo sido ensinado e treinado para ser o melhor ou morrer, Valiente sabia que não foi muito gentil com Ferdinando e os outros. E agora, com toda a pressão para lutar para sobreviver, Valiente se viu pensando em todos os erros passados que fez com os que agora chamava e considera amigos. Apesar de todos os dias e anos de bullying constante de Valiente, eles agiam como se nunca tivessem acontecido e o receberam com tamanha gentileza que ele achava que não merecia. Ele não merecia nada além de palavras duras e olhares de raiva. Quando seus pensamentos se tornaram mais autodegradáveis, ele sentiu os olhos arderem e a garganta se apertar com suas emoções reprimidas.

Ferdinando tinha acabado de cair no sono quando ouviu alguém andando pela janela de Nina, levantando a cabeça ligeiramente, viu Valiente passar sozinho, e sentindo que isso não era normal, ele lentamente se levantou de Nina sem acordá-la e cuidadosamente fez o seu caminho para a porta dos fundos da casa e saiu, seguindo Valiente até a borda do quintal, relativamente despercebido pelo touro mais velho. Quando viu os soluços silenciosos sacudindo a estrutura volumosa de Valiente, ele deu a volta para ficar na frente dele e pressionou a testa contra os de Valiente de uma maneira gentil e compreensiva. Valiente não o olharia nos olhos, mas não precisava.

"Deixe sair Valiente, você vai se sentir melhor quando você fizer isso." Ferdinand0 disse baixinho

E como se ele estivesse esperando por permissão, Valiente deixou suas lágrimas caírem pelo rosto.

Night had fallen over the flower farm that belonged to Nina and her dad, all of the household were settling down to sleep, all except one. Valiente. He was unable to sleep due to the heavy lingering thoughts that plagued his mind. So he left the house and made his way around to the back to the farthest corner of the yard, thinking of how he'd behaved in the past while living at Casa Del Toro.Having been taught and trained to be the best or die,Valiente knew he hadn't been very kind to Ferdinand and the others. And now with all the pressure to fight to survive gone,Valiente found himself thinking about all the past wrong doings he had done to the ones he now called and considered friends. Despite all the days and years of constant bullying from Valiente they acted like they never happened and welcomed him with such kindness he felt he didn't deserve. He didn't deserve anything but harsh words and angry stares. As his thoughts became more self-degrading he felt his eyes sting and his throat become tight with his pent up emotions.

Ferdinand had been just slipping off to sleep when he heard someone walking by Nina's window, raising his head slightly, he saw Valiente walk by alone, and feeling that this wasn't normal, he slowly got up away from Nina without waking her and carefully made his way to the backdoor of the house and went outside, following Valiente to the edge of the yard relatively unnoticed by the older bull. When he saw the silent sobs shaking Valiente's bulky frame he walked around to stand in front of him and pressed his forehead to Valiente's in a gentle understanding manner. Valiente wouldn't look him in the eyes, but he didn't need to.

"Let it out Valiente, you'll feel better once you do." Ferdinand said softly

And like he'd been waiting for permission, Valiente let his tears fall unhindered down his face.)
