The Hacke and Peter Electromagnetic Barrier Defeat Rifle - marketed as the "Hussar" - represents the company's first venture into the field of manportable coilguns. Firing a high-velocity tungsten slug, the EBDR is intended to provide enhanced barrier penetration capabilities in a compact, relatively lightweight package, and as such has become somewhat popular amongst police and private security customers; in some locations, the EBDR is a common sight at checkpoints where its penetrative performance is valued for use against vehicles.
The rechargeable power supply units developed for the rifle allow for up to four magazines' worth of fire before they are depleted; due to the inclusion of an external power interface, the weapon can also be powered from larger, body-worn power supplies that provide more available power at the cost of extra worn bulk. The weapon fires only semi-automatically in order to conserve available power.
While it is often fitted with magnified optics, the EBDR pictured here is fitted with a simple unmagnified reflex sight. The weapon is also compatible with most external targeting systems, both wearable and implanted.
==========
Had this sitting on my hard drive, in some form or another, since... at least 2018, but life kept getting in the way of drawing. It could still stand to have some work done on it - for example, it needs sling points, I'm not happy with some of the shading, the battery is nowhere near as detailed as I'd like, and I would've liked to come up with a logo for the company - but at this point I'm a little sick of working on it. Maybe I'll fix it up a little in future, I dunno. Nice to finally finish and upload something, though, even if I didn't manage to do it before the end of 2022 like I'd been hoping.
Got a few more things in a near-finished state that I'll hopefully finish and upload soon, but we'll see. I only really get the time to do this on weekends now, and that's assuming I have the motivation for it.
