It's a damn shame.The only thing we know about Asami's mother is that she was murdered by a firebender. Well, that, and her name was Yasuko (which we didn't learn until AFTER the series ended).

If it's any consolation, Asami is my favorite character and I hate seeing her suffer. These pages weren't easy for me to work on, but trust me when I say that there is a method to this madness.
