I hate to disagree with you, but....it really did seem like Riku didn't care. Maybe if she was another character that didn't have anything to do with Sora....

Well maybe he saw Kairi in her and just couldn't bring himself to destroy her. Or if he wasn't thinking of Kairi, maybe he just wanted to give her some space since what she is going to do is pretty much a sacrifice.

I dunno, i never got the impression Riku was that into Xion, because... he let her die. And then when he runs into Roxas in the end and Roxas is struggling to keep a hold of his fading memories of Xion, Riku mocks him; "you mean xion? its getting hard to even remember her name now isnt it?" I never understood how people shipped Riku and Xion after that scene. My immediate reaction to Riku saying that was just "wow you dont even care that your forgetting her huh? You jerk"

i hate her because she screwed up sora and roxas's memories.just because sora and kairi are probably meant to be together forever doesn't mean its going to be ROXAS AND NAMINE!(plus namine looks like his frikin' sister and she looks NOTHING like kairi!)roxas and xion can live happily inside of sora!i'm writing a kingdom hearts fan fiction,and i'm disculding namine from it all,and roxas and xion are going to be one of the couples in it!
