Soft spoken. Gullible. Too quiet. Helpless. Weak. A lowly herder. That is how Simone could be described by one of the more robust and rash members of the War Forged herd. Her mother had called her precious little flower. Honestly the dark colored mare did not mind. There was a certain strength in being gentle. Besides she knew that her role was a needed one within the herd. The herds she tended helped the herd prosper.

On the other hand she was caring and protective of those around her, especially family whether by blood or bond. This is something that helped her feel more of a part of the herd. She might be a naive country girl, but she was loyal to her herd. Despite being a rather emotional mare, Simone has a great deal of common sense. Having helped taken care of the herds since she was young aided to her quick wit.

Simone reflects a lot of the traits of the herd she cares for. A soft curious type at heart, though will quickly rise to defend those she cares about. Due to her vocation and quiet nature she is deemed simple minded more often than not, but the sturdy mare is quick witted when it comes to common sense. She does not have much book learning, but she can make the most out of any circumstance that might come her way. She longs for a family of her own, but is content for now tending her flock.

History:

Born into a family of farmers and herders, this kind of life is pretty much all Simone has known. In all honesty she has no desire for the other more brutish jobs of the herds and isn't really bothered by notions of others that her sex is weak. She knows full well what she is capable of and every bit of it came from the knowledge of her lowly family. Simone was an only child and was the pride and joy of both her parents. In her teens her mother passed and now her father is ripe in old age. She cares for him as he is blind and rarely leaves the comfort of their home. She took over the flock and is well versed in the care of their livestock. With her family slowly dwindling down to naught Simone spends her free time getting to know other herd members and enjoys accumulating friends.

- Humble Beginnings

Just another lowly farm kid, no.. she was already their whole world. The couple had tried for many years and the past year was to be their last attempt at having a child, but then time went by. Sheba knew she was with child before the month was up. She could feel it. Then more time passed and only confirmed her beliefs. The middle aged couple was to blessed with a child. They didn't care whether girl or boy, they just wished for a healthy foal. Joel worked long days with his herd, his main goal in life was just to provide for his growing family. Twelve long months finally passed and it was time for their little blessing to join them among the world around them. Despite her age, Sheba was blessed with a smooth delivery to a beautiful baby girl. It was a joyous time for the whole family. Aunts, uncles, and cousins visited in turn. This new life was something to be celebrated.

- Old Age Lays Claim

For the most part, Simone's childhood was full of bliss. She thoroughly enjoyed the farm life and scurried off to help her father with the herd any chance she got. The gangly filly was absorbing everything the world around her and her parents had to offer and proved to be quite witty in regards to her surroundings. Her mother taught her how to read and write ensuring her that just because they were often considered lowly people, that she was no less than anyone else. Knowledge was important. Simone had twelve years to learn from her mother. The year came when a chill crept along the mountain and crawled through their door to embrace her mother. She died of pneumonia before winter had completed its cycle. The young mare's heart was broken for quite a long while, but she had her father to think about. He wasn't getting any younger either and she needed to help him all she could. She needed to learn everything she thought possible to make use of herself and aid her father. Seven years later Joel lost his sight. From that time on Simone took over her father's herd.

The lanky filly grew into a lovely young mare, full of compassion and love. She takes pride in the care she gives her herd, providing her faction with quality wool from her flock. Her father helps closely around the house as much as his lack of sight allows. Simone enjoys meeting other members of the herd and learning from them. While for now she is focused on friends, one day she hopes to start a family of her own. She is patient. So she gently tends her flock in waiting for something new in her life.
