Severus could feel himself succumb to the necromantic kiss … He was pulled downward into the damp earth … He felt the cold suffocating grip of the Reaper, the embrace of death made him shudder violently, was this his death rattle? Had he been fooled into the waiting arms of the bone collector … The veil closed above then upon him … he fell into a clammy darkness from which no earthly Arts could restore him … his eyes gave over to the pitch black and the silence of the tomb …
