Status Report: It’s been eight days since the incident, and today I’m a ladybug. I was going to go out into the backyard and search for a few missing parts, but it’s raining. So instead, I’ve been trying to work out the effects of n-dimensional clouds. Unfortunately, I have spotty data and a sample size of one. Then, I remembered Dr. Petrov had a theory about using such clouds to our advantage, as they could shrink the pods to reduce power draw. It turns out that he seems to have been correct; my pod used far less power than it should have. His math was a bit off, but when I corrected for that, I was able to plot a reverse course.

One step closer to getting home.

In other news, apparently, I don’t play right. The Child insists that I don’t move or speak at playtime, and just be a doll. She’ll move me and speak for me, like her mother did the night before. I decided to play along as she wanted, and found it oddly comforting. For a few hours, I let go of my worries of n-dimensions, pod repairs, and getting home.

What’s very strange is that when I fully embraced being a toy, playtime became real. I made some friends with The Child’s dolls, as well as an enemy. Bo Peep didn’t appreciate that I was involved with Tex. She may become a problem in future playtimes. Luckily, I don’t think I’ll be here much longer.
