This will be my last upload tonight, I'm sorry for spamming everyone's boxes. I'm actually kind of happy with this one, I worked bloody hard on it too.

My scanner has murdered the colours, especially his hair, the red now looks hideous. I used water soluble pencil crayons, by Staedler, and CNA brand washed over with water. I've added salt for texture in places (interesting). then to complete the image I used watercolour paints. I used a very fine brush for most of it.

Thanks so much, I never thought I'd enjoy using watercolours, lately I'm prefering it to digital.

i always find watercolours a challange, they never seem to want to work properly for me lol

I always have a serviette close by to stop colours from running. When I start, I sketch out the picture on watercolour paper with a 4H pencil, then I use watercolour pencil crayons. But always do light shades only first. Use a wet paint brush and go over what you coloured in with the watercolour pencil crayons. And do everything in layers. Then when I finish off, I use actual watercolour paints for certain things to much it more bold and interesting. ^^

Thanks so much, the eyes are always the most important thing to me in a drawing, if I fudge it up, the whole image it screwed. xD
