Description So for some reason I got this idea to revisit the X-Men characters as teenagers. I was thinking that although the X-Men Character's themselves have origins the team itself doesn't. I wanted to do some sort of fan fiction, either as a comic(fat chance) or as a series of short stories that examined how Xavier's dream went from peaceful coexistance to a team of super heroes. I just never really saw the logical progession there. So I wanted to show how a group of teenagers would slowly out of necessity form a group of superheroes. Anyway I did some concept art and I for some reason wanted to include Teenage Betsy Braddock aka Psylocke. I've always hated the mind swap ninja storyline so I decided to break even and make her half Japanese half British. Anyway I am pretty pleased with the end result although I wish my lines were cleaner.

Looks pretty good!I like the shading (never could do it myself actually) and her face - both expression and the way she looks generally. Anathomically good and makes a good overall impression. Oh, and the hair is superb. Really.

Nice sketch. Her pose is quite natural and doesn't look awkward. I really like her facial features and her hair.

I only have two crits. First, her right forearm looks like it need to be a bit longer. Second, her left first looks a bit wonky, like you were struggling with drawing her first, which is ok, if you did, but it shows. It helps to work from a reference if you have a problem drawing something.

Great job, though. It's good to see new art from you finally.

Hey! Thanks for the lengthy comment. They make me burst with joy... seriously they do. Anywho yeah everyone seems to think she's got a toddler arm which I can't argue with she does. I use a really weird reference for her fist... my own! It didn't work out as well as I thought it would considering I was trying to hold my paper pad and draw it at the same time... it shows. Oh well. I have a lot of new stuff I'm uploading so I am back! Forever long that lasts.

No prob. I always liked your art. It's awesome how much you've improved over the years. You've got lots of artistic potential, and I just want to see you use it.

Thanks! I can atleast agree with you that I have improved. I was looking at my gallery and I used to suck a lot more than I do now. In fact now I would say I don't suck. I just need to keep at it and eventually I will go from "not bad" to "pretty good".
