It shows how badass Settra really was in the End Times.

Yeah, Settra is badass. And pretty badass picture! But I also did like some stuff in the End Times, like Dechala 's return, or how Neferata and Khalida solving their differences before the end of the world(although I did not like Neferata's nerfing in End Times...).
From Age of Sigmar, I found it interesting the entity Dracothion, has visible similarities to a C'tan, and Stormcast Eternals/Sigmarines, who are made by Sigmar after befriending Dracotion, have some similarities to Necron(ie being reforged, possibly into bodies of Sigmarite, not only wearing armor from it, like Necrontyr were transfered/remade into bodies of necrodermis, Stormcast Eternals loose bits of themselves with earch "reforging" like Necrons do, althought that's specifically Nagash's fault), although the prime difference is that Stormcast Eternals retain their souls. Yes on the suffrace, Stormcast Eternals are VERY like Space Marines, but uppon deeper look, they have intruiguing similarities to Necron, and Norse Einherjar . Β Also, the Stormcast Eternals can be Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, and of female sex under that armor. Here is an interesting observation by Josh Reynolds, who done Settra's awesome moment of trolling Archaon and spitting on the offer made by Chaos Gods:

Of course, I may seem an apologonist, but do see the obvious flaws of Age of Sigmar, but there are some interesting things there too.

I'm sure there is interesting stuff to be experienced, it just isn't for me.
Me and a few friends actually tried out the game, wehn it got first released and while the rules worked fine for the most part, we ended missing a lot of what we liked in Warhammer: the maneuvering to goain an advantage, costumizing your characters, the looks of two armies drawn up opposite each other...
And I could probably have dealt with that, if they hadn't touched the fluff.
I am a very calm guy; I rarely ever et seriously upset, but I got legitimately angry at the some of the stuff they pulled in the End Times, especially the Elves stuff.
I understand it's their IP and they can do what they want with it, but they took 30+ years of fluff, written by the people responsible for the fact that this industry even exists, and theyΒ throw it out to replace it with something that reads like the background text for a MOBA.
There are many more minor gripes I got (the human faction going from the underdog faction that used combined arms to take on things like ogres and giants to what might as well be Space Marines, the art style loking more and more like Warcraft...), but it essentially comes down to me not enjoying the new rules, art direction or fluff.
I will not begrudge anyone their fun or tell them they're wrong for liking it, but unless they pull a complete retcon, I am done with GW.

Yeah, the stuff with elves in the End Times, was not really good, and seriously contradicting previous canon.
The Stormcast Eternals though, were argued by even 4chan wiki to be not as bad of an idea, if they we're just presented to Warhammer Fantasy as a faction, or group of special units, possibly as an remagining of Law Daemons from early Warhammer Fantasy lore.
Although I get why you dislike their design, as it indeed is similar in ascetics to Warcraft, or League of Legends characters.
Which is ironic, as Warcraft's style, is, or at least was up until Warcraft 3, an adaptation of the style of Warhammer miniatures...

It's not so much the design of the Stormcasts that I dislike (I'd be fine with them being a sort of Imperial Daemons/New Praetorians in 40k).
It's that they have taken the real cool aspect of the humans as underdogs (not as tough as dwarfs, not as skilled as elves, but you still gotta go up against orcs and chaos warriors) and turned them into another faction of big buff dudes in full armour.

I understand what you mean, and it does take from the humanity are underdogs.
Although to be precise,Β Josh Reynolds stated not all Stormcast Eternals were humans, with some being originally dwarves or elves. The majority though, was originaly human.
