Bio:
Cyn (known as Cynthia) was once a human, born of an upper class family sometime in the 1800s. Back then she was different from what she is now. She was kind, sweet, gentle, and never spoke out above others, your typical classy lady. She had fallen for a man by the name of Damien, who didn’t give a damn about her, while Nicolai, a man a few social statuses down, loved her, but she was oblivious to that fact. Cyn, who loved Damien, became his personal sex toy and Nicolai, under circumstances unknown, died. A few weeks later, an unearthly being killed Damien with a disease and did the same to Cyn unintentionally. Before death, she caught a glimpse of their face and, to her shock, found out that it was Nicolai.

Nicolai made a deal with one of the five great Demon Lords to bring her back. In doing so, she was reborn, but not in the way he expected. Cyn couldn’t remember anything except the fact that Nicolai killed her. Nicolai kept claiming that the Cyn in front of him wasn’t the girl he fell in love with. Cyn, hurt that he said those words, went up to him and told him that she was who she was and that she remembered him, not caring that he killed her and not quite understanding what was going on at the moment. Since then, he has accepted her, loved her, and made her into what he wanted her to be.

Personality: Her personality flip-flops a lot. Mostly, if she’s not around Nicolai, she will come off as either very short-tempered and irritable or very innocent and sweet. If she acts like the latter, it is all a ploy. She uses it to her ability to lower her opponents guard and attack them unawares. If she’s with Nicolai, she’ll become very passionate, if they’re alone, or be extremely possessive to the point if you come near him, she’ll slit your throat or some other major artery.

Cyn can also be quite bloodthirsty. This is due to her return to the Spirit Domain via the deal with the Demon Lord. Steadily her thirst will rise and what little sanity she has will slowly vanish, leaving behind said insatiable bloodlust. Only when she believes she’s had her fill of blood (it can range from a simple cut trickling a small stream of blood to literally raining blood) will she stop. No one knows if this bloodlust is curable or a permanent side effect from the deal.

When she is to herself, she can become easily depressed. Cyn feels as though she is responsible for what Nicolai has to do in order to keep the deal between himself and the Demon Lord. When she is like this, she tends to commit suicide (she has done so many times in the past), but she cannot kill herself by her own hand.

Abilities: She is quite fast and remarkably flexible. Her strength is average at best and her defense is above the norm. The tattoo on under her uncovered eye can “eel off” her skin and can take various forms, ranging from a flat spike attached to her wrist to a broadsword. Cyn can also move through the shadows, teleporting from one place to another. She can also make herself intangible, but she saves this ability for attacks that could mortally wound her, as becoming intangible takes a lot of energy out of her, weakening her greatly.

She can also transform into a shadow demon (there is no change in her appearance, except that she is covered in shadow and claws come from her fingertips). However, she prefers not to use this ability except in times of dire need. If she takes this form, her strength, speed, and defense doubles in exchange for her bloodlust immediately reaching its peak and her sanity vaporizing.

Other tasty tidbits: Cyn was born on Earth in England, was brought back in the Demon Realm, and resides with Nicolai in the Spirit Domain, a place where humans and other beings of the supernatural co-exist. The Spirit Doman lies parallel with Earth and is like a mirror world. Very few on Earth know of the Spirit Domain’s existence and even fewer can see it. Humans that die on Earth (mostly stillborn babies or those afraid of passing over) are sent to the Spirit Domain, but once they die there, they have to go to either the Demon Realm or the Celestial Realm (depending on what they’ve done in the Spirit Domain).

In other words, if you die on Earth and you aren’t afraid of death, you go straight to either Realm, depending on what you’ve done on Earth.

If you’re afraid of death when you die or haven’t really had a chance at living, you are sent to the Spirit Domain for another chance at life. What you’ve done on Earth is null and void and what you’ve done in the Spirit Domain is what counts for where you go.

In other words, it’s a warped concept of reincarnation/resurrection…

There are five Demon Lords, all genderless, and they each have their own powers that the others don’t. One can grant a being power, one can reverse time, one can resurrect the dead, one can cause war, and one can negate the powers of any being. The first of the four can give another these “gifts” in exchange for something of equal or greater wealth. For instance, when Nicolai asked the Demon Lord of Resurrection to bring back Cyn, the Demon Lord said that Nicolai would have to work for him for 5000 years as a demon soul distributor. If the person who asked for the gift goes back on their word, the ability will be taken from them and they will be hit with the Threefold Curse (the Wiccan concept of if you do something to someone, it’ll come back on you three times over. I could be wrong…. The fifth of the Demon Lords has been missing for centuries…

Back to Cyn, when she is injured, she doesn’t bleed red blood. Her blood is black as night. Due to being brought back by the Demon Lord, she is no longer human, but she isn’t exactly a demon either. She is just classified as a demon to make things easier for a lot of people. So because of her not being human, her blood cannot be red like a human’s.

She cannot die by any weapon unless it is embued with some sort of magic. So if she is attacked by a normal weapon, she won’t die.

When she is put in a corner, she will get afraid and will start talking to someone that can’t be seen by others, but can be seen by her. She will clutch her head in pain and will tell whatever is plaguing her to leave her alone. It is because of this that most humans consider her insane.

She has an affinity for movies. Her favorites are Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride.

She tends to wear neutral colors, varying in different tones and shades. She can’t stand wearing bright colors because it hurts her eye. (Possibly a drawback of being brought back in the Demon Realm)
