Description
This piece took me forever, hoough. Been having a lotta work these past few months, was hard to find time for other stuff. Chipped away at this on occasion sometimes until I finally decided yesterday to just finish it. Really liked how the shading on the gems came out! The color gradients seem to look very nice. Was also really happy with myself for figuring out how to use krita's warp tool to stretch a pattern for the suit around its shape! Looked at some images of a 2d representation of a diamond lattice and tried to make a pattern out of it! Also found some images of some old weird looking clipboards from the 1920s that had these little calendar attachments on top of them, and thought they were too neat to not include in smthn like this. Really like how I shaded that metal too. Really been liking these little simple background patterns Ive been putting behind my latest drawings too, wanted to use this pattern in particular since it resembled the diamonds diancie has. Overall I'm really liking how this looks and I'm excited to hopefully have more time for some art and writing sometime soon!
