Now this was a challenging scene, but it's finally done! Omega, Atomic Girl, and Aurora have just discovered Catalyst's hidden laboratory, and though they've braced themselves for sick experiments Catalyst may be working on, they are still shocked by the sheer horror of what he has done. Using innocent people as unwilling test subjects, he has been researching a more efficient method of mind control, though like any experiment there are some unforeseen side effects. Initially, it seemed the three heroes had Catalyst outnumbered and outgunned, but Catalyst is rarely without a contingency plan to tip the scales in his favor, as you can see above.

The concept of villains using mind control is nothing new in the comicbook world. Most of the time it's done through some kind of unknown serum, advanced cerebral tech, or hypnosis of some kind. However, what I believe sets Catalyst's method of mind control from many others is that his research is based on something that is all too real, a type of fungi that he mentions above. I'll let you look it up so you can see just what it is he's trying to play God with. You may have also noticed that Aurora is wearing her old costume, and that's basically because this picture was taking a while, and by the time I was coloring this, I was also working on Aurora's new costume, so just consider this the last scene with her old costume. Overall, this was a great picture and I'm happy how it turned out.
