- AJ Styles began his career on amateur circuits but soon signed with WCW, he wasn't even a mid-carder so when Vince bought WCW, AJ only appeared on a dark match against Hurricane Helms, he didn't impress the officials so he was unemployed untill Jeff Jarret brought him to TNA, now AJ is Mr. TNA. The end.

actually he was offered a contract but turned it down cause it required him to relocate and his wife was going to college in Georgia. He then worked the indy scene built a small following then tna started and he became the star for tna

Punk and Styles have had matches in ROH before they left for TNA and WWE, they were really good if memory serves. The best being the first match for the ROH Pure Title (like an hour long and better than most of the matches in either company).
