samurai jack returns for season 5!!!!!in celebration i decided to do this comic based on a dream i had where i wondered if a version of steven universe and the crystal gemsΒ
existed in Aku's hellish future that Jack is determined to undo
If they did exist then what happened to them
The title refers to "the lone wolf and cub" which is the direction this story could go if i continue it

Aku most likely has the ability to kill the gems and boy I can tell Amythest survived but sadly Pearl and Garnet also probably Paridot and Lapis even the Diamond Court faced a horrible date

It's just with college and work I'm pretty limited
But I do have an idea for continuing the story and maybe the real enemy of this story isn't Aku or the diamonds (but they will be a big part of the story) but something or someone else entirely π

Losing your family is always a sad moment followed by the sense of dread that you were unable to save them
Steven feels this and if I continue the story I'd show him on his new journey as he tries to make sure this never happens to anyone else and while giving him a new sense of maturity I want to keep some of his light hearted optimism cause that's one of the things that make Steven universe great

I see we're working with the "Steven can poof" theory, I'll amuse it for this comic. It's already very interesting. I wonder though about that purple - amethyst if you will - colored bird

I did the dark theme cause of how samurai jack will now be a dark show
Originally Steven wasn't bubbled
His gem was gonna be found with a crack on it with no regeneration and leave the ending open ended but after mind mapping I got this kinda gruesome image of a lot of blood coming out of the crack came to mind and them flesh and bones growing from the blood and forming a regenerated Steven
But I got lazy and just did a traditional regeneration
and I was also gonna do a corrupted version of lapis and peridot with maybe jack having to slice through corrupted Jasper
If do get around to making another comic then I'll be sure to get around to the deal with the amethyst bird and Steven's determination to undo this horror future by the same means as Jack but, despite regenerating perfectly, his powers are gone
No shield, bubbles, or any gem magic he worked hard to gain
Sorry for long post, I just enjoyed making this comic

I'll hopefully get around to it but with college and work I'm not sure if I'll have time straight away (I might do a single image showing what happens next)
But if I do I'm already thinking of calling the comic "Samurai Steven"
The comic would have a very different version of Steven as he now exists in a whole different status quo and without his powers will have to rely on new skills
