Description "Fact: The isometric perspective is the best perspective." - Dwight Shrute (okay, maybe he didn't really say that)

A not-particularly successful attempt at an isometric perspective animation. I think I'm more level than I should be, but anyways, it's a shot at something new. I'll probably use it as a base for future, non-blobby characters.

Some of my favourite games have used isometric, 2d animation, I hope it comes back.

if you cleaned it up to loop better then I'd play an isometric game that was based around this animation.
Playing a silhouette with white lines looping around it as I run through a black and white world would be cool and the film noire look would open possibilities for new game-play features. like, you could have a torch that instead of lighting dark rooms just erases the background so that you can see monsters that were concealed in the dark. I think that was already done... but not in isometric.

Cool thoughts - I'm working on an isometric game right now but not as visually adventurous as what you're suggesting. Β I like your ideas though.

Only slightly to level, but yeah its a good animation. Definantly a good base for some characters. I feel like the frames right after where the right leg is all the way up is a little skippy. All-in-all good.
