very nice contrast between the checkerboard uniform (?) and the, well, ummmm,

lack of uniform(?)……the bare look is nice.

It's not a lack of uniform, but so skintight it might as well be! I made their costumes by experimenting with different textures in Poser. It looks more interesting to me than any 3D clothes I could buy online, and saves me a lot of money since I'm also a cheapass bastard.

No problem plantman, I mean in a perfect world lack of uniforms on my characters would be mandatory. But this was my deviant art friendly solution.

thanks again, interesting approach, i like it, but i'll have to think about it.

……..can you create a perfect world in the fantasy or pretend realm?

That's complicated…….but it's fun to think about.  I think i just confused

myself.

I'm liking Scatterbrain every time I see him!
I have always liked a kid villain dominating and winning over heroes, plus the idea of shota mind controlling others is very appealing to me

Yeah, honestly I like making scenes of kid villains more than my original mad scientist concept. It seems more fun that they're on an even playing field as shotas battling shotas to me as well. Scatterbrain is my fav, so much so that after the various boys are brainwashed and dronified, they're remade in his evil image.

I absolutely love it when a young one dominates anyone either someone his age or older. To see Scatterbrain dominating over the heroes is exciting! I also like his design, that dizzying effect can totally throw off any hero trying to get in his way

I really like to see the good guy limp and defeated by the evil guy with hypnosis.  I liked watching him induced against his will and then have a vacant stare as he went into the clutches of the bad guy.  On TV and movies the bad guy was always kind of gross looking and the good guys always wound up winning, anyway. I really like in your stuff seeing a young evil guy "putting away" a cute, young good guy. Guess I always wanted it to be me.  Weird.

Well thanks, I always wanted it to be me too. The whole aspect of hypnosis that appeals to me is when a hero is corrupted and forced to do something sinister, completely out of character. I find it more fun to let the villain win, and let the viewer imagine what vile deeds are committed after the scene ends. Having the villain be a cute young guy versus a cute young hero is something you rarely see, so that's my little twist on things.

Somehow the yellow checkerboard pattern seemed perfect for a hypnotic villain. Don't know why. When I was a kid I had an EEG where they glued electrodes to my head and made me stare at a similar pattern for 10 whole minutes (an eternity for a 10-year-old ) That could've influence me.

When I watched the old BATMAN TV show in my younger days, I loved seeing Batman and Robin overpowered and sedated by the bad guys. I always wished there had been a junior villain to take down Robin, as he was easy prey for the adults. This scene is exactly what I wanted to see----thanks for creating it!

I definitely shared the same fixation my friend, and would frequently obsess about shows or episodes of superhero series or cartoons which would feature gassing, chloroform, or kidnap scenes. Of course looking back I was the kind of lil psycho who dreamed of all that happening to myself. But alas, no junior villains back then to be seen. Which is why I finally had to make my own. Thanks for the comment and the story.

I used to imagine it all happening to me as well. At the time I thought I was crazy. Now as an adult, I know that a lot of kids felt same way I did, judging by how many stories about it are on the internet. Your artwork brings back a lot of memories.

I was the same exact way.  I loved Robin's outfit and wanted to be him, especially captured in the clutches of diabolical Villains. It was really exciting to me that they went to all the trouble to build their death-traps and got so into gloating and laffing and watching the helpless boy-wonder suffer and be tortured.  Wow, I wanted to get tied up for stuff like that!

Good times. The shows I grew up watching (Batman, Wild Wild West, Six Million Dollar Man) always had great KO scenes and death traps.

The Batman show was a fave for me for a long time, despite it's severe lameness.  Of course when I first saw it when I was 6-years old, I was oblivious to that.  And I stuck with it for so long because I loved the costumes and the crazed bondage and imagining being a little Robin getting captured by sinister badguys who would to all sorts of things to me...and then eventually getting rescued by my big, strong Hero!

I think we all had fantasies like that watching the old TV show. I certainly imagined being hit with sleeping gas many times.
