U MAD, ULQUIORRA?I sure as hell am.
I used to really like Ichigo, but he's not a fun character anymore. He's got such a 'must-protect-everyone' complex that I want to punch him in the face and yell "Quit being a boring 2 dimensional character!"
(and a MarySue)
Also, I understand the whole invincible protagonist thing. I hate it, but I get it. No one will watch/read a story if the main character dies like half way into it.
But as far as I know, Ichigo has died and come back to life like 3 times.
THREE TIMES.
And twice by Ulquiorra's hand (literally once, haha). If I were him, I'd be fucking pissed.
So, this is just a little fanart I doodled up to vent my frustrations.

Okay, okay. XD I don't really mind the physics thing either. Although I'm not sure when everyone learned to stand on thin air. WTF.
I think the battles would be more interesting if everyone stayed on the ground, running and jumping on stuff while fighting and using tactics in their battles. But no, Kubo desires to draw only clouds for backgrounds.

I totally agree! Ichigo annoys me so much now! I hate how he always gets stabbed and cut and beat up, then is perfectly okay! He should have died from blood loss over 3 times now!

Dude, Ulquiorra should have become the main character after killing Ichigo off. That would have been so much more awesome (and non cliche).

I AGREE WITH THIS SO MUCH.
I liked Ichigo too until he got that "must-protect-everyone" complex. Not only that, but he seems to think of his friends as being weak and unable to defend themselves. He's constantly telling them to get back or that he'll take care of it. How can any of them, Orihime especially, have character development if he doesn't let them DO anything?
You're not missing much by not watching it anymore. Bleach hasn't truly been good for a while.

I'm still reading too. But I have not been rewarded for my loyalty thus far, as only a short way into the new arc, my favorite character gets stabbed and is bedridden for quite some time. And then he shows up and is no help at all. WTF KUBO?
I reeeaaaally hope it gets better. Although Bleach still beats Naruto, so whatever.

NO KIDDING. He's my favorite character too, and I want to see him in all of his Quincy glory again rather than taking a backseat to Ichigo. What happened to the badass Uryuu from the first arc? D:
I hope it does too. Bleach beats Naruto in terms of characters and plot, but Kishimoto beats Kubo in staying consistent to the plot and in his ability to develop the story.

I guess that's true. Naruto doesn't have too much random shit, wheras Bleach is always introducing new characters in like, sets of ten, and then making up some nosensical side plot that all the main characters never mention again after it's over. -_-

Exactly. And what's with Orihime being totally okay and bubbly after Hueco Mundo? She was kidnapped, held prisoner, had her mind played with, and watched the man she had a connection with (not necessarily romantic, but it was a connection nonetheless) die. I understand that seventeen months went by, but shouldn't she have been changed by that experience at least a little?
It did. D: But it pretty much died when Ulquiorra did. I mean, it already started going in the wrong direction in the beginning of the Arrancar Arc, but when he died, the whole series did too. It was reduced to nothing but endless fights leading up to an unsatisfying ending to the arc, and then an awkward timeskip that has absolutely nothing to do with the original plot. Wtf, Kubo.

Kubo could have done so much more with Orihime. I mean, this was a fantastic opportunity to mess her up, give her some trauma. SOME CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, PERHAPS. It would make the story much more interesting if he would bother to flesh out some characters. I mean, I understand it's a shonen, but that's no excuse not to have your characters interact and become more like real people. I hate 2D side characters that exist only for the main character to save or just be better than.

I agree completely. All he's doing is focusing on fight after fight rather than developing his characters and plot. Ichigo has turned into a terrible Gary-Stu and, like you said, the other characters seem to only exist to make him seem more powerful. What about Uryuu's relationship with his dad? What about Orihime's wish to get stronger? What about making Chad more than just the silent side character? Doesn't war change people?
The timeskip was one of his worst ideas. He didn't even tie up the loose ends before starting it. We still don't know what happened to Kon, Grimmjow, and Nel, and we should have found out more about Isshin's backstory before skipping ahead two years. If Kubo has some great plot idea in mind, he's certainly not doing a good job getting there.

I know! There is so much that can be done with Bleach, but Kubo seems rather intent on wrecking it.
Eurgh, the timeskip was horrid. It wasn't done naturally, and like you said, left waaay too many loose ends. I liked the one in naruto better.

Yeah, at least Kishimoto skipped ahead at the perfect time. Everything was set up so that it would make sense, but with Bleach... Not so much. It seemed so random. D:

Fairy Tail isn't something you can take too seriously. XD I really wasn't sure what to think of it at first. It's weird, funny, and slightly dumb in some parts, but there's something about it that drew me in. It's good if you're tired of overly serious plots and want something more lighthearted, or if you have an interest in fantasy (as in, magic and mages and such) manga. I'm only 42 chapters into it, but I like it. It's something different. It's also by the artist who made Rave Master, if that helps.

I've never watched the show, so I can't say much about it, but Ichigo sounds like he's not being very interesting in the show anymore! D: I hate it when that happens, when there's a character that starts off really great, but gets super annoying later on. DX
