I started on this maybe three days ago, and I have to say, it was one of the easiest image I have done, and one of the most fun.
Here we have Pitch Black, the Boogeyman, depicted in an old photograph formatted image, playing a piano. The flowers on the piano are Night Gladiolus flowers, a type of flower that blooms at night.
I always pictured Pitch with the skill - and the hands - to the play the piano, so I figured I'd give my depiction of him doing so! It's a rather bleak, lonely image, but that's what I love about it! I am actually very proud with how it came out, despite being dog tired and having worked on it to completion when I actually want to sleep. So...

I can relate to this picture a great deal more than I can say. As a pianist, percussionist, virtual instrumentalist, guitarist, organist and keyboardist I can safely say that this picture completely resonates with me on a spiritual level. By the way, I once tried cello in middle school back when I was in band, but I wasn't really good at it as I only knew how to play the musical catchphrase from Hitchcock's "Psycho."

I only managed to play the drums for a brief time when I was in high school, but fell out of it due to home issues and moving.

Oh dude believe me, I think I can play NUMEROUS instruments! As old a she is, he'd need some time to kill! The three instruments I can see him playing most are the piano, violin and your mentioned cello~ And maybe the harp once in a while...because I am garbage.

I love it. The old fotograph effect makes it feel really personal and nostalgic. His expression is right on spot and his hair looks great (seriously, how did you draw it?? give me tips??).
