The sides look like the walls of a pit, and the oval in the middle looks like whatever the person whose falling down the pit is going to land in...tar?

hmm, I see things now I've adjusted my screen brightness^^
I don't see the witch, but I do see an eye and the middle top half bit looks kinda like a face...a mechanical one, with a chunk missing revealing a star
and in the lower middle section, a squashed nose and slightly open mouth showing a few teeth
ok I'm starring at it too long now.....psychadellic patterns if not colours ya know
