Description
Name: Perry Edward SmithBorn: October 27, 1928
Death: April 14, 1965
This is, possibly, one of the men with whom I have felt most identified. His feelings, sensitivity, anger and mistrust. His madness.
A complete artist.
A murderer ...
You will never be forgotten, Perry

I quite love the way he is depicted in "In Cold Blood". His determination and just his person in general. But a murderer indeed.

Sadly, true. I think choices he took, which were clearly influenced by his partner, took him to this tragical final. Of course Im not meaning it wasnt his fault, but Perry's personality was indeed a submissive one, even when he would never admit it. He was solely looking for some kind of acceptance and was convinced with all the adventures trips Richard Hickock told him.

I think the saddest part is that due to his upbringing, he never really had a chance at "being a normal". He was one of those men that was brought up fighting and fought for survival his whole life.

Have you read "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote? It is excellent, also you can watch some films about it like "Infamous" (2006) "Capote" (2005) or the first one: "In Cold Blood" (1967)
