JOURNEY BACK TO THE SURFACE - Reaching the Light [3moX REMIX]This is a remix of my Apophysis piece "Journey Back to the Surface" [click here to see original] lovingly re-imagined by my good buddy (and now collaborator) ~3moX .
~3moX explains further: "For this, i've worked only on the original Apophysis BMP, no additional fractals or other images.
Only Gimp's features used.. this is the most i can do with it, Seq! The lower part isn't so beautiful, it doesn't completely satisfy me, but i think that the upper looks great! From the fullsize (MORE MORE large than this) i've prepared also a shiny 1280x1024 wallpaper based on LCD's "light" :::i don't know the technical specifics, but i've noticed that the colors of all my older deviations prepared using a standard monitor looks different now that i have an LCD, that's more brighter::: ..wallpaper focused in the "sunny" spot, very detailed. As commented in the original Sequential's work, the target of this remix is to give the idea of a sub that swim towards the surface while he sees the sunrays filtering from the waves. the original Seq's render was completely blue so i have worked hard trying to give more realistic deep water colors."
I just wanted to thank ~3moX for taking the time to remix this, which I consider a compliment of the highest order.
And of course, you must all go check out ~3moX 's amazing art by clicking here. You won't be disappointed!

Its awesome, no perfection, no perfectly aligned frac....its the best kind, it resembles something, not just a symmetrical pattern, just love it

yeah, i agree.. it has some symmetrical H flip, but i've placed elements for breaking the symmetry..
thanks!

Actually, I love the lower part... but the upper is quite beautiful. I'd love to see this in a print up on my wall, hehe. Great job, and I love the title, it totally fits this one better.
for the both of you! Great job!

I think if you both get together, you might be able to sell them on both your pages.

Awesome effects here and I actually like the original too! It really does look as if one is at the bottom of the sea, desperately trying to get back to the surface! Beautiful lighting...well done!!
