Here is my character for this group. Hope I am not too late.

WARNING: I write long bios so yeah feel free to read it...or not.

Strengths:

Zephyr is resourceful. he usually thrives in figuring a way out of difficult situations.

He is also not one to sulk. What is odd about him is that despite what happened to him; he was willing to forget everything and start anew.

He also likes helping out a friend and the more difficult, the better. He likes a challenge. Although he trusts a few people. Once you have his trust; he is loyal to them for life.

He also refuses to give up when tough situations arises. Unless it is an impossible feat, he'll keep on trying.

He is also extremely open minded for his young age.

Weakness

Zephyr has a rigid code of honor. Once you do something that is against that code. He won't let you forget it. he can tolerate it but he won't accept it.

He is easily hurt and sensitive. He is aware if someone is out to get him or humiliate him.

Silence is also one of Zephyr's weapons when he is angry. If he is furious. he is deadly silent.

He loves napping too much. he can sleep for almost half a day away. The problem is when he wakes up..he becomes too energetic like a squirrel.

He hates it when someone tries to steal from him so don't even try because he will hunt you down.

History:

Childhood

Zephyr was the third son of the Clan leader of the Peregrine Clan of Chimeras.

This clan was well known for their speed and accuracy in raiding other parties and often make a living as sell-swords ,assassins and mercenaries for hire for the War Lords of the Vesna Region. The Clan was thriving because their services were badly needed by the warring leaders and it is often the one with the most gold is where the Peregrine Clan sides with.

The Clan's hidden village is situated among the mountains overlooking the sea.

Zephyr grew up in the shadow of his two older brothers who were accomplished in their given weapons and trainings. He however wasn't proficient with a sword or a spear. even the use of daggers eludes him and he always get injured first before injuring his opponent in practice.

Humiliated by the other village kids and shunned by his older brothers because he was "girly-looking" and "weak". the young chimera often accompanies his mother on chores like cleaning,cooking and washing clothes.

Zephyr's father did not approve of Zephyr staying with his mother all the time so even though the young boy vehemently wants to stay with his mother, he was pulled back into trainings and he was once again subjected to ridicule and teasings...which is often led by his brothers.

When Zephyr turned 12, he still looked feminine wherein the other chimera children had already deep voices, early muscle development and tanning of their skin due to their harsh training.

Sadly nothing improved for him.

The Spoils of War..

One day, Zephyr was sent on his first mission as a new trainee. their mission was to scout around the area for the arrival of Abelardus military have been threatening the Warlords of Xanthe lately.

Sad to say everything was going well when all of a suddenly Zephyr's partner slipped during their scouting assignment and Zephyr tired to help him escape. But the military infantry troops caught wind of them and Zephyr and his partner ran for it.

While escape was almost too good to be true. one of the Abelardus archers shot Zephyr down(due to the fact that his wings were still underdeveloped and therefore he was much slower than his partner).

"Help me!" was what he shouted to his partner who looked stricken and afraid yet instead of helping him, his partner chose to save himself and run away.

Sad to say , he was kept as the spoils of the war that soon came to be The War of Enlightenment which was waged by King Ionis of Abelardus.

he suffered even greater hardship as a slave when he was shipped to Abelardus and was unfortunate to be sold to an owner of a brothel.

Zephyr was 16 by that time and he was shocked to see that the brothel was of a different kind: the patrons are men but their whores were.....boys of ages 14-18 and above.

When he was bathed and forcefully dressed into some kind of feminine clothing, he soon experienced the vulgarity and humiliation of being taken from behind, forced to do things that made him want to throw up. He tried to escape after only a few months of being in the brothel but the owner's men caught him and threatened to break his wings if he does not stop running away.

By that time, Zephyr's wings have grown into strong pairs and he valued them more than his life so he surrendered and silently suffered. Due to his Chimera blood and pretty face, the soldiers who frequent the brothel during the War would always ask for him. They dubbed him "Winged Beauty" because of his looks and reputation.

Salvation...

Zephyr was 17 years old when he was suddenly summoned by the owner of the brothel. Curious as to why he was called, he went to the owner's chambers and was suddenly
told that someone bought him for an extravagantly high price.

Learning that being silent and stoic is the key to reading another person's thought, he looked blankly at the owner when someone appeared by the tapestry of the chambers.

This was the man who bought him. He was about 6 ft tall, is dressed in mage's robes and had a strong face. He looked Zephyr over and ordered him to follow as he left the owner's chambers.

Zephyr usually does not follow anyone...not even the owner but the mage's voice was soothing and he could do better than to stay in this putrid flesh pot so for the first time of his life. he walked out of the brothel free.

A New Beginning...

Alexander, his master was a Former Mage and one who went into hiding when Ionis called all Mages to fight in the War.

After three years of seeing the destruction and killing, he asked to be removed from being a Mage; Thanks to that he was banned from ever practicing magic and the King tortured him before he escaped.

His home was somewhere far from the city and hidden from prying eyes. Zephyr was surprised that he was well fed,clothed and Alexander even had him trained in the arts of the bow. Intrigued by the weapon that struck him down when he was a kid. He grew proficient with it in just over a year and is deadly accurate with it.

Zephyr was originally wary of the human who treated him with kindness and respect. Not once did he demand any sexual favors or force him. It was as if he was his equal.

One night when Zephyr was back from the library and was about to go to his room. he heard shouts and screams from Alexander's room. The Chimera soon opened the door and saw that his Master was having nightmares. he managed to wake the human out of it.

Zephyr saw torment in his eyes and soon the truth spilled from Alexander's mouth. 2 years ago....he was one of the Mages dispatched to the Xanthe Islands to conquer it for the King. He was dressed as an archer that time and he revealed that it was he who struck him down when he was a kid.

Hearing this, Zephyr waited for anger and fury to take over but oddly he just held the human mage and forgave him.

That night he and Alexander became lovers....

The days that followed were the happiest he has ever imagined.

The Fade....

Zephyr was 20 years old and by that time, he had mastered archery and was proficient with wind magic, an inherent power born from his Chimera blood.

But during the time when The Fade was ongoing, he also lost Alexander,who died 2 years ago....

The real cause of his death was that he was "Corrupted" and it was driving him to his destruction.The three years that he did doing battle in the wars were taking a toll in his body so Alexander chose to die by Zephyr's hands than end up an abomination that will eventually kill others.

and now Zephyr was alone. He had inherited Alexander's house and his books but he wasn't content anymore to just sit around and decided to become a mercenary for hire since he heard news of villages and towns who hire people to defend them from the monsters that appeared from the portals that opened.

He visits Alexander's grave every year and as for his family; he never looked back because his family was Alexander..til his dying days.

Trivia:

He still cannot handle blades, a weakness he recognizes greatly as almost all mercenaries are blade wielders. He makes up for it because he uses his fists and utilizes his Gauntlets for when he's out of arrows.
He tries hard to make sure his Wind magic is not used unless there is no options left. He uses Basic magic, a few intermediate as well. It is unknown though if he can use advance spells.
He adopted a Crow chimera who was going to be auctioned off to the slave block. He named him Seran at the suggestion of Ohla the elf.
He is proficient with wind magic but does not use it because of Alexander's teachings.
He learned how to use his fists as a back up weapon because he still sucks at blades.
He hates vegetables and eats an all meat diet.
He tolerates female clothing and being dressed as a girl because of his "beautiful" face,But he can kick your butt if you touch him perversely.
Despite being a mercenary, he still gets hit on by men but since he isn't a slave anymore. he usually punches the day lights out of them.
His flying has improved dramatically and now he enjoys flying through the mountains.
He likes to nap on trees and doesn't even fall off them.

Relationships:

Seran (Crow Chimera)(NPC)-"A crow kid I impulsively rescued. I can't help it, He was too young to be disillusioned by being a slave and I hated it when humans think that slaves are things to be used and thrown about. His name was courtesy of the elf Ohla. He was very quiet and shy at first but soon he is as noisy and as energetic as a magpie. I have adopted him and wonder if I made the right decision?"

Regula Pan( Sable Antelope Chimera) and Mael Dionwalde(Human) (NPC) - "These two saved me when I was on a hard mission. I was shot because I was reckless. Reg taught me how to use my fists as my second weapon and Mael taught me to control my elemental powers which have the same principles as Soul magic."

Araw( Philippine Eagle Chimera) "My ex-partner.He came to Abelardus to bring me back home. I do not trust him as much as I did before.I am no fool."

Ohla (Elf)- " I actually found him weird at first....I mean until I sat down and had a chat with him. Aside from his habit of acting subersive and calling me Master in English and Elvish. He is a pretty nice and simple minded elf. Good Sword arm too. I suppose I am going to enjoy his company provided I can work out his servant like treatment of me."

Rowan/Faithe (Human/Rookie Soul Mage)- "Originally an unwanted rookie sword user who just can't seem to let me be. But she can grow on you; I wonder if I'll ever let her know that I know she's a girl but...it is too much fun to tease her. I basically don't deal well with humans but she's an exception."

"She is the woman who could be dressed in a potato sack and I would still find her attractive. I do not say much of my affections verbally but she knows that she has it....."

Pallas (Magpie Chimera)- " Another female I happen to have met while doing work for the guild. She isn't annoying...just a curious chimera. Although...I do not understand the concept of hiding who you are.
