One year some photographers and I even presented a panel at our anime convention, where we spoke on the microphone to teach people tips on shooting cosplayers. It didn't go so well because we had to start late, not that many people came, and I couldn't find the photos I had picked out to show everyone. (So I had to borrow images from someone else, and make up information about them on the spot. )

Thanks. And yeah, Kawaii Kon has a cool name. I dunno who came up with it, but I'm glad our own anime convention gets to have Kawaii in it. We certainly have a lot of kawaii attendees too. (Only bad thing is, most of the people here mispronounce kawaii. ... )

Neither! You pronounce it as ka-wa-EEEE. And if you say it in a cute voice, you can make the EEEEEE sound extra long.

Oh, and Hawaii is almost always pronounced wrongly too! Unlike kawaii, with Hawaii you actually do make two "ee" sounds. So it's ha-vai-ee. And yes, the W is pronouced like a V. (One Hawaiian teacher said it's actually a cross between a V and a W, thus it's a "gentle V.")

Zomg, small world! Or should I say, it's a small convention! Yeah, I just met that girl when I bumped into her at KK, and afterwards she browsed dA and found my deviation of her. Then we added each other on MySpace, etc. So do you go to school together?

she lives in the city right next to me. so i just go take the bus and see her XD my friend are friends with her for a long time =3 no we don't go to school together but she visited my school during the summer (while me and my friend were in summer school)

I should get to printing out my anime-ish artworks someday, but I'm not familiar with my brother's fancy printer here at home. (I'm used to my cheap, $50 printer that I bought during college time while on Oahu.) And when he showed me how to refill the ink for it, it looked complicated & messy! (It's the kind with a bunch lil cartridges, one for each main color, and when you're done, your fingers will have some ink stains. ) So yeah, I feel like I'd have to buy refills to replenish the massive amount of ink I'd use up to print out a bunch of my artwork.

So either that or, start making artworks (for the purpose of displaying on my walls) using traditional media on paper.

Exactly! Actually, at one point I was ordering cartridges for the printers in our office room. Some of them were pretty expensive. And since our fiscal department put my name on the order form, in the past year all these other different supply companies have been sending catalogs to our office, addressed to me. Including a suspicious company that turned out to be a scam/rip-off.
