Description
So...I was amazed by the fact that all the people who drew Sywyn until now managed to get all his scars right O_O... I mean, I can't imagine what pain in the a$$ it must have been searching my gallery for his drawings and trying to match all his scars >__>'''..
that's why I decided to do a.... map :°D with also a little description for the "most important scars" XDD (he got some also under his pants, but let's leave them be...)
Good reading to those who are going through this wall of words XDDD
1 - Blade, pierce. Got his hand pinned once. There's another similar scar on the other side of the arm too, where the blade came out (but I was too lazy to draw it). One of his first scar.
2 - Dragon claw, slash (single blow for both back and arm). The wound was much bigger, the scar is about the half of the original laceration. It's the worst injury he got in his whole life; for this he was medicated in a temple.. let's say that he knew he was going to die if he didn't ask for help :°D but he also couldn't reach the wound himself to have it self-medicated...
3 - Blade, slash. A single blow that got stopped by some ribs... his spleen still has nightmares about it...
4 - Arrow, graze. Got it during one of the many wars in the Westlands. He didn't even notice he got wounded until the end of the battle, too much chaos all around...
5 - Blade, lunge (grazed). His very first scar. The one that made him think about being more careful during battles for the sake of his own head....
6 - Human nails, scratch. The only scar he didn't get in battle, mentioning this wound is the best way to get him seriously pissed off. Got it from a noblewoman he was... uhm... working for... the only woman who managed to leave an indelible memory on him.
Only Gods know how much he hates this scar :°°D
7 - Blade, lunge. Unbelievable it missed the heart... miracles happen sometimes
8 - Spear, thrust. Another wound he got during the Westlands wars. Unlike the arrow one, he definitely noticed this wound when he got it...

O.O .... this is AWESOME. :'D Not only for the insight on his background information, but also it's extremely helpful. ^_^ For guessing on the anatomy, it looks freaking amazing to me. 
I wonder if I should do something like this for Klithen. He has a hefty amount of scars, but I never mentioned them before, so most people are unaware. ^_^;; Would you mind if I did something like this? (I don't want to seem like a copy cat

I once drew one of this map for my own sake, but it was like a drawing of a dummy with scars :°°D.. so I thought about doing a better one for everyone to see XD
about the guessing, I actually was looking at a photo of a guy, but he was extremely skinny with no muscles at all >__>.. so... I had to guess 
I'm sure there's something really off in them :°D but...
oohh, I say you HAVE to do it
I don't know if you have one done for yourself already or if you just keep the scars position in mind, but having them fixed on paper helps a lot... I like drawing Sywyn shirtless >_> but before making the map it was a pain :°°D I had to check my own drawings everytime... it was really embarrassing
not to mention that I'm always interested in informations about characters
so...

Yay ^___^ Thanks x3 I need to do one for Klithen, Elethir, and James. Although James has the least amount, he does have some since I vaguely mentioned them in the book. >.<
You're totally right too, maps really help xD I've been keeping theirs in my head since the beginning - and you have no idea how many times I've forgotten about them. xD It was embarrassing, haha.
James is that skinny right now. Hooray for photo references though XD Everyone had told me I should start using them when I first got my DA account, and I very seldom listened. I think it was because I was stubborn and lazy, but now I'm learning the true value of it. No more girly men.

Ohh, HOT. This is a really good idea. If any of my characters had gotten as many scars over the years as he has, I'd do this too. Thank goodness for regenerative magic saving me the trouble!

yes, healing magic is just awesome T__T... in my setting few clerics have it.. and Sywyn never got healed once with it :°D he's lucky just because his race has a regeneration rating a little higher than human's
