most people use plastic pellets for weight but that can get really expensive but rice works really well too.

But rice??What if you washed it?
I'm looking at weights in a way that it is as long-lasting as possible though.I'm worried that rice will turn rancid and have an adverse effect on the plushie.
I was thinking of sand but I'm not too sure either.

most plushes aren't really meant to be washed, and if so, then very very gently and by hand with a damp cloth.Ā

I see,but I prefer to make a plushie that is kind of waterproof/can survive in water,I try to make it as kid-friendly as possible,at the same time the plush has to be kind of...cuddly.
