hey there, long time no see! ✧⁺⸜(●′▾‵●)⸝⁺✧ i've not posted in a couple months, but on a whim i decided to give one of these design challenges a try while listening to an audiobook of the first book of a starless clan. it was actually really fun and honestly listening to it while drawing made it a lot easier when designing them all.

i thought river was pretty good for the most part! i like all of the protagonists so far, though i do admit nightheart is definitely one of those angsty teens with his constant sulking and brooding, but i don't mind it so much? i don't currently have an absolute favorite as of yet given it's only the first book, but i'll just have to wait see how they develop throughout the arc.ヾ(･ω･*)ﾉ

design wise i tried to stay as accurate to the book's descriptions of them as possible, especially regarding nightheart with how many times he mentioned he's an all black cat with no ginger whatsoever. though i did add in some of my own headcanons, such as frostpaw being an american curl and nightheart having spiky unkempt fur to match his brooding personality. regardless, i think i'm actually pretty happy with all these designs! i'll definitely be considering doing this again in the future for other arcs when i get around to reading them. ♪(^∇^ )
