Damn, this is amazing compared to the stuff I make, I use a really crappy program though, not that good with computers I want to make a D&D pallet for some things I plan on making in the future but I'm not entirely sure what they will be...

Hehehe, that's kinda cute. Β Dunno if the perspective would quite match, though.

Yeah, we chose a non-isometric perspective to keep it "straight forward"... heh. If you are interested we can seed your account with more coins to get you started...

What is "RPG Creator VX ACE"?

sevensages7 In reply to sererena [2014-07-08 09:06:55 +0000 UTC]
It is an RPG Game Creator program it uses 16 bit tile-sets. Think Zelda 4 swords or link to the past... here's a link to their site.

How much would you charge for this?
How much for an animated version?
π: 0 β©: 1
sererena In reply to JoryRFerrell [2014-04-22 17:43:27 +0000 UTC]
I'm not offering commissions right now but to give you an idea of how much someone would charge for this, about $60-$80 because of how long it took. Β Animation is hard to say, since it is a tree. Β Like a tree blowing in the wind? Depending on the amount or frames and time it would take to do it, it could be double or triple the price.

Would you be available for work (and lots of it) in a couple months? Say 3-4?
π: 0 β©: 1
sererena In reply to JoryRFerrell [2014-04-23 13:05:16 +0000 UTC]
I'm sorry, I cannot. Β I run my own game company so I don't have time to do freelance art... in fact usually I am contracting out artists to help with my projects since I have so much work.

Ooooootaaaaaaay. Β
Sadness permeates my soul.
Say...how much do you end up paying artists, on average, for animated work? Just curious...
π: 0 β©: 1
sererena In reply to JoryRFerrell [2014-04-25 02:05:15 +0000 UTC]
I would pay them the same price I'd charge, perhaps more or less depending on the quality, I'm fair.

How does one go about getting a job doing pixel art
π: 0 β©: 1
skylar1146 In reply to Hama-Girl [2013-07-07 21:04:44 +0000 UTC]
Working for game companies is about the only thing you can do. And not big game companies that do 3d games but small indie games. I wouldnt recommmend getting a job in pixel art but in graphical animation in general as theirs many more jobs for that.
