I use two, one on foot and one on disc. This one since he's on foot is mainly a squad babysitter. Turns away charges towards Rubrics as he's a blender in combat plus I usually stack him with buff spells and sword relics. Also good to dump into a Rhino with a squad of flamer Rubrics.
