Did you make new hands out of green stuff? I'm baffled by the fact that bolter and axe switched hands.

The face is just amazing... those friggin' heads are like... one quarter of my fingernail in size, and you do the Michelangelo on 'em... whoa!

Somehow the rest isn't quite up there with the face I think (still grand painting skills of course) but it seems like the face really got the major attention and the rest was built around the face ;D

Now where did I put that Chaos Lord in Termie armour-blister... hmmmm...

Funny you say that...i did the face outta boredom....and then i thought "that went well..onwards!"
He was a bit of an experiment to be honest, the gold was a new recipe, and i was still tinkering with the silver...but meh,he got a Finalist in the Open,i was stoked to have a pretty much base plastic model get that far against the studio boys

LOL, now that's funny - so the face really was first and the rest just so happened ;D

He looks like an experiment that went pretty well, I'd say!

Well, it's one of the best "base plastic models" there, no wonder really.
I think GW just recently rose to a new level in Mini-quality, the new Space Orkz, a lot of the other new 40K-stuff and the new fantasy Vampires are really neat models with very well done proportions and interesting poses. There are a few exceptions here and there (and the new demons seem rather crappy so far (whatever happened to the Deamonettes!?!)) but really the stuff is among the best.

Yea man,you got it spot on lol
And i have to agree...GW hitting a new level and leading the way. Not to say others dont produce nice toys though.
As to mini's that arent quite to your liking...nothing wrong with taking a hacksaw to something...

Yep, Privateer Press, those Helldorado-guys, Rackham and a couple of others are just as amazing having a very distinct style. Though, GW is number one when it comes to excellent plastic-kits!

Well, I just buy the current line of deamons, no need to hacksawing the new deamons ;D
Seriously though, I much less of a converter than a painter... actually filling and building the models is such a pain for me (all that superglue everywhere, except on the model, stuff falling of all the time, drilling your fingers rather than the model for pinning-purposes and whatnot)

You arent a real hobbyist without the appropriate wounds
Hell, ive sawed into my knee due to not being bothered to move to a table...
Self inflicted...but strangely,a sense of satisfaction when done playing with the bits lol

LOL, alright then ~ I guess I am still kinda lucky to have just drilled myself (with an electric drill though).

Sawing yourself in the knee sounds... bad.

How come GW never puts that up in their "The Greatness Of The Hobby"-pamphlets, all the weeping, bleeding hobbyists

I imagine that sorta thing would put off parents of potential young hobbyists...
And as GW is a company, they remember...the parents have the money Cant go scaring them off...

The world should know it's a bloody hobby, full of suffering and pain ;D
So, it's much closer to actual "life" and the real world than one would think... valuable lessons of life can be learned from sawing your knee or drilling your fingers! Hooray for household-accidents!

Valuable lessons indeed...
Like...leaning on a table,on a cutting mat,and cutting AWAY from ones body...
Things like that
