Ravens are simply awesome birds.
I once watched one watching a grocery store my mom worked at looking in the windows watching the automatic doors all that. Then it flew in the grocery store stand up in the rafters watched the store looked towards the seafood department then back towards the doors in flew in threw. The Raven then swooped down to the frozen fish section of the store grabbed a whole side of salmon and flew right out of the store with it threw the two sets of automatic doors and kept on flying with it prize.

Hell yes! A Seagull tried the same thing the next week but buggered it almost, it did not time its theft quite as well as the raven did.

Β A most excellent image (although I have to admit to an embarrassing impulse to cry "Black Wings, Black Words!" and check the creature for messages whenever I see a portrait of a Raven these days β¦ before Mr GRR Martin REALLY hooked me I would have been wise enough to keep a wary eye open for old man Odin or antics from some other Trickster!).Β
