Description
A design for a game project I'm currently developing, I called him "Rob, the agent". As you can see it's a low poly 3D model and I made it in such a way that the Ambient Occlusion is part of its Diffuse Map in order for the model to looks realistic regardless of what video card are using when you play the game. I'm developing the game upon WebGL so it's designed to run in your web browser! interesting, isn't it? just in case you don't get what I mean, CLICK THIS [link] to see this 3D model running in your browser; USE YOUR MOUSE TO ROTATE AND MOVE THE CAMARA AROUND ROB. enjoy, my friends! (P.S: make sure you're using Chrome or Mozilla)Tools:
-3ds max for modeling
-Photoshop for texturing
-HTML5 and Javascript for coding the live perspective view ([link] )
-Online Game so far: [link] (I highly recommend that you use chrome to see it)

This is so good! i sometimes make the ambient occlusion map part of the diffuse map, easier for some game engines i think. how many polys is it?

Hello Bro'! sorry, I think I don't perfectly understand you , to export the model from 3ds Max to what?

I mean to webgl.
BTW I did a test with webgl using blender and cubicVR.js; collada format was used (the original was an .obj file made with topmod) > [link]
is it Copperlicht?
Well, I like the style of your model (:

nice! cubicVR.js? I've never heard about it, what abstraction level this library give you to work with?
I see, so first you exported your model to an obj file and then you import and render it with cubicVR, don't you?
yeah! I used Copperlitch library to made that simple perspective view, I exported my model to a X file and then I used copperlitch to parse that x file in order for the mesh to be displayed in the browser. Once it's displayed, all the game logic is coded in javascript as you can see from this [link] (it's what I've done of the game so far)

Hi, here you can find some examples > [link]
and btw there's also three.js > [link] check this demo (if you don't know already)>[link]
No, it is not exatly an .obj but a collada file (not so different; the concept is the same).
IT IS VERY NICE, your project! (: WOOOW!!

Is there supposed to be holes in the mesh where his leg meets his foot? Either way, Pretty cool. Good job!

yup so far, since the game camera won't show the character from below, I decided to delete as many polys as a could

My apologies, I got my robots confused. It was the robot from Treasure Planet I thought your robot reminded me of because of the vacant look on his face.

Thank you! I've coded an online model viewer in javascript using WebGL, if you don't mind I'd be glad if you try it and then let me know what you think or whether you have any issues so I can improve it... this is the [link] Anyway, thanks for commenting!
