Art Trade for kdthe0 !
kdthe0 had a really cute demon character they wanted me to draw and told me to draw them doing demon-things. So I went with one of the more weirdly-specific things that demons do in various cartoons like Fantasia or Goddess of Spring (1934): Dancing around a roaring fire. I'm not going to lie, as oddly cute as dancing around a fire like a madman is on paper, it has always unnerved me. I have no clue why. But I went with it for the picture and I think it helped alleviate the unease around seeing bizarre shapes madly flailing in rhythm around a roaring inferno. Maybe.

Anyways, this picture was really fun to draw, I always enjoy drawing more cartoony proportions for characters and this one was quite a blast trying to come up with a feverous dance pose that looked like it was in the middle of movement. I was also trying to make it look like the dance had a direct effect on the fire, like how people think snake-charmers control the snake. I hope that came across well enough.
