UPDATE: The process GIF is now available on Patreon for anyone interested in seeing how this went from line art to its final version: The Skeleton Family Blocks The Way (Process GIF)So, disclaimer off the bat: the original linework was done by another artist, but unfortunately I cannot find them to give proper credit. If anyone happens to know who did the original lines, I'd love to give them credit, but it seems like if they had a Tumblr or other art gallery it's not something I can find via a reverse image search.

Started this a while back as coloring practice to try out cell shading and get some ideas on how I might shade my own web comic in the future, and it's kind of been kicking around on my hard drive as a WIP for a while because I needed to fix some issues with the line art and also try to finagle something for ground shadows that I was happy with. I wouldn't say I'm 100% happy with this, but I do feel like I've learned a lot in the process that I can hopefully apply in future pieces, and I didn't want to just let it keep sitting in the dusty recesses of my storage for nobody to ever see. So, at least now you guys can see it and tell me what you think.
The background is a photo manipulation because that wasn't the focus of this exercise, but I did my best to make it fit in with the style of the rest of the piece so it wasn't jarring. Hopefully it works for you guys too.

Nah I, too am a member of various Undertale-groups, so I look through the post as well. I fave arts that caught my attention and have a stiking look and design. And yours hit my eye just fine, alright.
As for me: awww, how nice of you to say, but actually I'm not that great at all. 
To be honest, I did a lot of research and pre-ahead-plaining, but actually I'm a lousy story-writer.

I definitely enjoy perusing through various Undertale groups for fabulous art as well. It's how I've found a lot of folks I now follow, so that's quite understandable! I'm glad mine caught your eye!
I'm still working on my outline and crucial world building, but I've been writing a lot longer than I've been doing art, so once I finish the outline I'm going to be writing out the story as prose first, since that's one of my strengths and I'm a pretty fast writer. Then I'll get the fun part of figuring out how to translate that information into comic panels, haha. But it'll be a good exercise, and I'm certainly inspired by various comic artists such as yourself, so it's great that we can all inspire each other!
I do love hearing about others' processes though! It's pretty fascinating all the different ways storytellers come to tell their tales.
