-- character ever introduced, the first appearance in the first homestuck panel, the first to reach god tier... john has a lot of firsts pffinstead of cramming all the work into two days i managed to crunch the entire cosplay into a week's worth of work, continuing to finish up until the friday after the con. this was definitely the hardest piece of shit ive ever had to make and it could be better but i'm so satisfied with how it turned out!! while it was the hardest ive actually done more expensive cosplayers with simpler designs. i lucked out -- a lot of these things were found at the thrift store "orz (the shoes, the gold and blue bias tape, the rope and fringe trim, the shirt and drapey fabric, belt, and the gloves). the hat was given to me for free ~~ i expected this cosplay to cost about 150/200$ but it leveled out to under 70$ [cries]
we didnt have our full group because some people couldnt finish but we'll hopefully get a full(/er) group at tsukino next year!
