I have no clue what that pokemon is based off of, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say either bigfoot or chewbacca, I'd say lion, but they're just myths... XDD

It's based off a heel wrestler and a tiger. It also seems to draw inspiration from Tiger Mask, a manga series about a heel wrestler who betrays the wrestling organization he works for to help orphans by wrestling in the ring.

Tiger Mask was also adapted into an anime in the 70's. Yes, it's wrestling, but with a twist. After leaving the Tiger's Den, the organization he worked for, they got mad and decided to send their wrestlers after Naoto Date(Tiger Mask, formerly Yellow Devil) to defeat or otherwise kill him. At the same time Naoto, being a former heel himself, must battle those instincts while in the ring. There's a lot of action as well as character development in the series. It also spawned two sequels, one of which is currently airing.

Ooh, sounds fun, but it's a bit like pokemon in my own opinion, a bit predictable, you know? While the idea is great, it's been pounded into our brains certain ideas of what's supposed to happen, and I often spoil shows/movies before watching them, soo XD Seriously, if it can trick me, then it's pretty tricky in general

Look up the new Tiger Mask series, Tiger Mask W(pronounced "double). In this series, Tiger's Den has been revived and working as the Global Wrestling Monopoly aka GWM. They then begin destroying wrestling schools across Japan, including the Jipang Wrestling School. Two students, Naoto Azuma and Takuma Fujii, watch in horror as their mentor, also Takuma's father, is brutally beaten and later hospitalized. Both swear to get revenge, but by different means. Takuma trains with Tiger's Den, becoming Tiger the Dark. Meanwhile Naoto recives training from Naoto Date's best friend and former wrestler to take up the mantle of Tiger Mask.

I honestly haven't read it yet. been looking for it, but I have been watching W. And honestly, it's actually pretty good. On a scale of 1 to 10 for W, I give it about a 7.5. Once I find the the original manga, I'll rate that for ya.
