mayhaps this looks familiar, and that's because it is a redraw of last year's gift for the lovely fonc:

I am blESSED that my shading has somewhat improved,,, at least it doesn't look as flat hHN and the body in general looks a lil less stiff, maybe because i've gotten a bit more comfortable in my style? so overall I am pretty pleased

anyway, I was going to draw this no matter what, and I hope to redraw it again in another year, but I feel like this drawing has a lot of meaning to it because Finchwing has been making incredible strides in her art and life recently. like honestly it's been so amazing watching her progress and accomplish all that she has, and she is just a huge inspiration and motivator for me. i know she's heckin busy right now, but if she sees or reads this, just know that i am really happy that i found your drawings and animations ;v; <33

gonna stash the old drawing and let this boy age nicely for a year. peace
