Bio/Backstory: Fire Wind Rider is the son of Dumbbell and Rainbow Dash. He loves to race and be the best flier like his mom, he is nice stallion however, he can have a little temper but that only happens when you make fun of him or his family. He is very stubborn and think mined like his dad. But more then any thing he loves to be with his dad and having father son time. He is a very gutsy flier and will not take no for an answer. He loves it when ponies call him Fire or Fire Rider. He will not be seen with out his lucky goggles at all!

One day when Fire wind rider was little there was a really bad storm coming in and Dumbbell and Rainbow Dash hunkered down in their house to wait out the storm. However little Fire wind wanted to see what it would be like to fly in a storm like this or more then any thing fly on the wind currents. So he quickly put a pair of goggles that his mom and dad got him for him from uncle Soarin. He then quickly made it out of his window before his mom and dad saw him. Once he was outside he was not expecting the wind to that strong, he was quickly swept away from the wind he screamed a little and he closed his eyes. As he opened his eyes he looked around and could not get his wings to work right, so he just opened them up and to get the feel of the wind in his wings. About a few minutes later he got the feel of the storms wind and then he started to fly right. He was able to ride all of the really strong wind currents and was just enjoying himself, when he wanted to fly even more into the storm as he started to fly he saw a patch of sun and flew there to see why it sunny there and any were else. As he flew closer to the sunny spot he flew up into it and remembered the his dad and mom told him that the sunny spots in a storm is called the eye of the storm. He then got the courage to brave the storm again and go back home, as he left the eye of the storm he got hit by lightning and then tree branch knocking him out. Back at the house "hey Dumbbell Fire Wind Rider has been really quiet." Rainbow Dash said in a worried tone "I will go check on his babe you just stay here." Dumbbell replied "Nope I am coming too" she demanded "Ok, ok calm down rainbow." As they both walked up to their son's room they notices that the door was closed, Dumbbell knocked on the door. "Fire? are you ok, we are coming in." as he opened the door they both saw that Fire Wind Rider's window was open both Rainbow Dash and Dumbbell's eyes open wide and their jaws dropped "OH NO! He went outside he could be lost, hurt, or worst!" Rainbow shouted in fear and started to run for the window. Dumbbell Stopped Rainbow dash "No you stay here I will go look for him. I don't need you to put you're self and our unborn child at risk. I will be ok Dash, I will bring both of back home safe. " Dumbbell replied reluctantly rainbow dash agreed. Dumbbell kissed his wife and took off out the window to find their son; Dumbbell was swept away a little but being a weather pony he was able to keep himself balanced. After looking for a good long wait and not finding Fire Wind Rider Dumbbell was getting really worried that he was not going to find him and may have to look for him after the storm, but he stopped his self and said "I will find you Fire that is a promise." he looked up and then saw the eye of the storm and flew up into it to get a better view of things. A few seconds later he saw something shining in the storm clouds. and quickly as he could flew to the shiny object. As Dumbbell fought the wind currents and other darby in a storm he found his son unconscious he closed his wings that he could fall faster and caught his son, he quickly grabbed him and they both quickly felling; Dumbbell then opened up his wings and they flew back up in the sky. About six hours later Rainbow dash was pacing back forth with worry, when she heard "Dash! Dash! Open the a window or a door." Rainbow quickly opened the window in her son's room, just as she did that both Dumbbell and Fire Wind Rider came crashing into the room. As they landed Rainbow closed the window again "are you two all right?" She asked worriedly "arrggg yeah we are fine just cuts and bruises. Fire Wind has a bump on his head nothing a doctor's visit will not fix." A few hours later the family settled down again after bandaging up the cuts that both Dumbbell and Fire Wind Rider. Fire Wind Rider wake up in his dad's arms "wh....what happen how did I get back home?" question Fire Dumbbell looked at his son and smiled "you are very luck son. I think we found your good luck charm *points to the goggles on his head* you had your mom and I worried sick about you! I went out find you, I am just glade that you are ok." Fire Wind Rider started to cry and buried his head into his dad's chest "I am sorry I didn't mean to worry you." He said with a sob "Hey it's ok kiddo you are still here with us and that's all that matters." Dumbbell said comforting his son. Later the family all fell asleep.
