Formerly the princess of her twin's empire (Mavi)
She decided to give up her title since she didn't want to be royalty anymore and wanted to cut her ties a bit with Mavi. The two don't get along and never have. Always fighting and being rude to each other. Since Mavi is older and what the kingdom thought would be a good ruler, Mavi was heir to the throne. They used to be normal sibling fights but when Regina (their mother) was killed and Mavi was a witness to it, Nari always and will always believe that Mavi killed Regina to be queen and believed that mavi played innocent and used her title as princess as a way to slip out of being accused. No one knows what really happened. Only Mavi and Regina do. Mavi won't talk about it, reasoning being it makes her really sad (which is a pathetic cover up for Nari) and Regina's sort of dead.
Now, Nari's head of the royal defense and attack unit where Mavi has the least control over her. Her scars are a result of recklessness (on her eye and her hind leg) and being caught in fishing gear (everywhere else).

Most subjects of the kingdom now Nari as a cold, distant, snappy, stern and grouchy Luminine and to some extent, they are right. However under that hard shell she hides herself, she's quite sweet. Very few have actually seen this side of Nari. The few being Regina who Nari had an EXTREMELY close relationship with and her best friend, Domino. Domino's second in command in the defense and attack unit and she does a good job at it. Nari hides under that "shell" because Luminii seen as sweet are seen as soft and weak and a burden to the kingdom as food is limited and hard to get in their area and they are not allowed to exile any luminine unless they have a criminal, 1 major-severe infraction record or multiple medium level or minor infraction records (4-7+ depending on how severe it was).

Her tail is like a shark tail. Not a dolphin tail like Mavi's. And can she retract ALL of her webbing unlike Mavi, again. Her bright, neon markings also emit biolumecent light!

Nari and Mavi's society is quite strict. The system was inspired by The Society in a book series by Ally Condy (i believe) called Match. It has 2 other book, Crossed and Reached. I highly recommend them, they're VERY good books. I didn't explain all of the parts of the system and how it works but I did say a couple of things on it. Mainly just the criminal/infraction record. Despite living in the very depths of the sea, they have a high level of technology that was developed over many years.
Anyways, have that. I might be opening the species to the public but as of now. They are a PERSONAL species. You CANNOT make your own. AT ALL.
