Mamaia is a component locality of Constanța municipality from Constanța county, Dobrogea, Romania. It is located in the north of the municipality and is a summer tourist resort on the Romanian coast. It has very few permanent inhabitants (7 at the 2002 census), but it is overcrowded during the summer.

Mamaia is built on a shoreline between the Black Sea and the liman called Siutghiol (Süt-Göl: "milky lake" in Turkish). The beam has a length of 8 km, but a width of only 300 m. The very long beach, with a width of up to 250 m, is covered with a very fine sand, mineral part, cochiliferous part. Along it are many shops, restaurants, terraces, clubs and discos.
