Description Beautiful places in Romania.

Mamaia is a component locality of Constanța municipality from Constanța county, Dobrogea, Romania. It is located in the north of the municipality and is a summer tourist resort on the Romanian coast. It has very few permanent inhabitants (7 at the 2002 census), but it is overcrowded during the summer.

Mamaia is built on a shoreline between the Black Sea and the liman called Siutghiol (Süt-Göl: "milky lake" in Turkish). The beam has a length of 8 km, but a width of only 300 m. The very long beach, with a width of up to 250 m, is covered with a very fine sand, mineral part, cochiliferous part. Along it are many shops, restaurants, terraces, clubs and discos.

My children were small then, only my daughter was with me.
It was still the time of Ceausescu, there was nothing to buy and
I was sick during the 2 weeks of holidays.
But Constanta and the Danube delta are still in the best memory
