Originally, today i wanted to post a Winter schnee picture, but it was spoilers, so im gonna wait a few extra days beforeposting it, i dont wanna ruin the experience for anyone that hasnt finished the season yet
So instead, here's a wip of a jaune x ruby pic im working on. Someone actually asked where this picture was posted, since
i included it as an example in my commission info, but asides from twitter, didnt post it anywhere else
so i guess there IS a demand for this ship lolol
I'll give more info on the context once i finish this pic, tho who knows when that happens, since i've been procrastinating it
for weeks now hehe.

Jaune takes off his armor “Thank god you were able to bring Marrow in to take over for me Ruby, I actually would rather face a giant sphinx over everything I’ve been dealing with”
“From what I’ve been hearing, I wouldn’t say that,” Ruby commented.
Jaune froze, confused. “What?”
Ruby smirked. “Seems you’ve been rather popular with the Moms lately…especially that blonde lady who gives you casserole…”
Jaune “How did you-“
Ruby eyes narrowed “And what’s this I heard about you heading with her to her house for nearly 5 hours while school was in session…several times?”
Jaune gulps “I-I-I don’t know what you-“
“Nora saw it all” Ruby explained….
Jaune swallowed deeply…if Nora had seen it, and told Ruby…who else?
“I ahhh, didn’t think you’d want to know about that” Jaune tried to explain… “I mean, you’ve got enough on your plate as is with-“
“Too much!” Ruby said severely, rubbing her temples. “My Uncle is showing more interest in Clover than he’s shown in any of the barmaids that he’s bragged about, my sister and blake are currently taking every opportunity to spend time alone that it feels weird, Nora is currently trying everything to get Ren to notice her feelings, Oscar is currently trying to work with the General, and Weiss is currently trying to help Penny with social skills”…She sighed…”I am dealing with drama after drama, and now my first real friend is currently being swarmed by moms who may or may not already be married or in relationships”
Jaune winced in sympathy. He certainly wasn’t sure what he was getting into when he chose to throw himself into the world of huntsmen and huntresses, but even without the threat of Salem, there was still a lot more drama than they were prepared for. “So what do you suggest? Any idea on how to solve the issues?”
Ruby turned to him with a strange expression. Jaune stepped back “Uhhh, Ruby?”
“Take off your shirt” Ruby said calmly.
Jaune Froze. “What are you doing?”
Ruby walked towards the blonde swordsman forcing him to step backwards until he was trapped between a bed and her. “I am going to try to reduce this drama one way or another for the sake of my sanity, and if this helps me deal with my stress as well, so much the better”
Jaune gulped “Uhh, Ruby, shouldn’t we instead do this with people we love? I mean you’re important to me yes, but if your father ever-“
“I am not my father’s daughter,” Ruby cut him off “I am my Uncle’s Niece”
Jaune had no response to that…
“So…” Ruby got close to him to where their lips were almost touching “What’s it gonna be, vomit boy?”
Jaune shivered in fear and excitement “Please be gentle?”
Ruby grinned “No.”
FIRST EPILOGUE.
“I’m saying, it’s totally the haircut!” Nora exclaimed as she walked into her team room.
“Nora, Jaune’s improved in personality, these moms probably appreciate him as a pers-“ Ren was cut off as Nora stopped, causing Ren to bump heavily into her “Wha-“
Nora: Ruby?
Ruby: Ren?
Ren: Jaune!
Jaune: Unintelligible weak gasp for mercy…or help.
Ren: Ruby What are you-
Ruby: I was dealing with too much stress, wanted to save Jaune from those moms, and decided that since I was now an adult, I could do adult stuff. And with Jaune’s large aura and my semblance…I must say I see now why Uncle Qrow brags about this type of stuff.
Nora: Well congrats, didn’t know you had it in you, but then again, it’s not like we ever expected Jaune to be a forward type at all either.
Jaune: Water….please.
Ren dashed to grab a water bottle to feed his leader. “I’ll get a smoothie for him quickly”
Jaune’s eyes widened and he weakly tried thrashing to escape.
Nora: Ren, no, he’s not ready for that.
Ren: Okay, then we’ll just go while you two-
Ruby: I don’t think so.
The ninja boy and the hammer girl pause “What?” the two say in unison.
Ruby grins “I’m not finished yet…and you Nora,” She grins at the orange-haired girl “You’re still trying to get Ren to realize your feelings, aren’t you? Let me help you with that…or better yet, let’s help each other”
Nora is quiet, her face shaded with an unreadable expression.
Jaune: Ren, run!
Ren: Nora, No!
Nora: Ruby, yes!
Ruby: ENTIRE.TEAM. GOOD!
Weiss and Penny walk into JNPR dorms
Penny: Friend Weiss, I’m sorry if I was too much, I haven’t really had practice in social skills aside from being with you, friend Ruby, and your friends.
Weiss: Yeah, it’s not your fault Penny, I’m just happy we are your friends. You are a lot to deal with, yes, but you mean well and you try your best to help us, so let’s have team JNPR help you out…you should spend time with more than just a few of us and-
Weiss stops as she takes in the sight in front of her…her partner and team leader laying in a pile of naked bodies…a blonde head rises up to check the distraction and freezes…
Ruby’s two close friends look at each other silently…nonverbally communicating.
Weiss:
Jaune:
Penny: Friend Weiss, what is it, what’s in the room-
Weiss puts her hands over Penny’s eyes, turns her away from the room and shuts the door.
Weiss: Take me to Qrow. NOW.
NEXT EPILOGUE:
Qrow and Clover recently catch up with Yang and Blake.
Qrow: Hey firecracker, I see you and the Kitty are getting along.
Blake glares: Only Yang gets to call me that, old man.
Qrow puts his hands up: alright alright, sorry, didn’t meant to anger anyone.
“No, you just do it without caring”
Everyone turns as Weiss appears holding onto Penny as the android flies to them, Weiss holding an angry look.
Qrow: Hold on Weiss, what did I do?
Weiss: What you encouraged Ruby to do…be just like you!
Qrow: I ain’t her daddy, just her role model.
Weiss: And by role model, you mean be a pervert?
Qrow: I’m too smooth to be a pervert Weiss-
Weiss: You tried hitting on my sister, her response was to have a squad shoot at you and make you run away in public….I have to admit I wish I had seen that.
Qrow grits his teeth: Okay, what is your problem? What is Ruby doing that could possibly be perverted?

Clover: An entire team? I’m impressed! Your niece is something else.

Yang: My baby sister is a woman now?

Qrow immediately starts running and turns into a bird.
Weiss: I didn’t him to react that way.
Yang: There’s…a complicated reason.
Weiss: I met your mother, Yang…the hard way…since when is your family history not complicated?
Yang groans… “Let’s catch up to Uncle Qrow”
Qrow barges into the JNPR Room “RUBY ROSE!”
Ruby bolts up and grabs the sheets “Ever heard of knocking Uncle Qrow?!”
Ren wakes up “Good morning Mr. Branwen”
“It’s 4 in the afternoon!” Qrow hisses, “And you are making a mistake, pipsqueak!”
“Uggh, you sound like Dad!” Ruby groaned “I had hoped you would never act like him”
Qrow pointed his finger at his niece…”If anyone’s acting like your father right now Kiddo, it’s you!”
Ruby was perplexed “Wait, how am I-“
“ENTIRE” Qrow gritted his teeth “TEAM”
Ruby’s eyes widened “But you and Dad never were in a relationship“
Qrow: We weren’t? Or did we never tell you that we were?
Ruby’s mouth dropped open “But..you….when…how?
Qrow sighed and gripped his temples “You thought your dad’s first love was Yang’s Mom, but it was ME!”
Ruby was speechless. What could she say? Jaune, Ren, and Nora wisely chose to not comment. Even Nora was doing her best to keep her hyper mouth shut.
Qrow glared at her “Listening now are we? So here’s my next question Ruby…do you wanna go for triple heartbreak like your daddy, or dead like your Mommy? Because if you keep going this path, you could end up one of two ways like your parents!”
Ruby:….
Qrow:….
Ruby: One single relationship, as little drama as possible?
Qrow: That’s my girl. Now if you excuse me, I need to leave…now.
Qrow barges out of the room and slams the door shut…Ruby’s lip trembles while JNR embraces the silver-eyed girl who had just realized that her fantasy was still just a fantasy.
Clover and company finally arrive at the residential area, only to find Qrow already leaving.
Clover: Qrow, what-
Qrow grabs the muscular fishman operative “Bar, now”
Clover: I thought you gave it up-
Qrow: I’m going through relapse! And you all (he points at Yang, Blake, Weiss, and Penny)-You’re coming with me….I need people to complain to while I’m wasted.
Yang sighs “Yeah, we should help you out on this one”
Penny: Wait Ruby’s Uncle, I am so confused! Nobody is explaining anything to me!
Clover: Me neither, and I’m not going anywhere till I get some answers, or at least you promise to.
Final Scene: Atlas Stormhawk Bar, sponsored by the SDC
Qrow slams his glass down… “Okay….it all started with this damn combat skirt that I thought was a kilt”

You should REALLy post this somewhere like fanfiction.net or archiveofourown, its long enough for
it to hold a story, and has so many funny lines Im sure people would enjoy it there isnt of just letting
it get lost in the comments here.
I can see a lot of the dialogue actually happening, although from the way rnjr is acting It's
like they came straight out of an adult film. And while I get that it was done to make sense of
the events to come, im surprised how fast ren agreed to it XDD. I like how you included so many characters
without it feeling clotted or unnecessary.
Ruby teasing jaune about the mantle moms is something I actually wanna see or maybe reference if i ever
draw something like that for them, but i'd wanna keep their personalities more in canon, Jaune's always been
a one girl kinda guy, and while i ship ruby with nora, i just like them together for funsies.
Overall I think it's the little details that really got to me "sponsored by the sdc", "muscular fishman operative", "I am my
uncle's niece", those one liners KILLED ME XD

Very nice! I don't think Lancaster will be canon, but I certainly think it's cute. Like I've said many times, we probably won't see a lot of romance amongst the heroes any time soon, but we can dream.

NOW KISS you two socially awkward dorks <3 even though this ship is not as a popular as the other ships but a whole lot a people ship them cause i come across a lot of them on diffrent social media accounts
