Im by no means experienced in comics, but this work progress helps me gets things done

Step 1: Storyboarding, doodle where the characters and things go, make sure to leave space for the dialogue balloons. These drawings dont have to be detailed, you can always add better sketches later on

Step 2: Add the lineart. I personally choose individual colors every time I line. But you can just make everything black and color them after. You dont have to add backgrounds right away, but make sure the sketch is somewhat visible so that you know what goes in the back and in front of a character

Step 3: Color the characters and any important props

Step 4: Add backgrounds. Although not every scene needs a background per se, adding a background color (to differentiate where a chracter is) can go a long way

Step 5: Add shadows. I like to leave this for last since its the easiest, I just like to slap a multiply layer on top

Step 6: Add the dialogue. I have all my dialogue in a word document, so that I can just copy paste them into the comic

Steo 7: Add any finishig touches, working on layers is useful, but dont take it so rigidly, make an extra layer to add/fix anything you feel is necessary.

Someone asked a while back to make a tutorial of some sort, I do plan on making some on how i color and draw, but for now have this
