Don't expect to much, that' my first aircraft-carrier. But in my opinion it looks pretty good. It carries 25 F-35 Lightning II fighters and/or Harriers. Plus some NH90 helicopters and Firescout drones.Armament:
1x64 VLS cells
4xRAM
4xMLG27
10xOTO RHMG 12,7mm
4x4 Naval Strike Missile

Just a friendly question - which measures does this vessel have compared with your Adenauer - class carrier? Just of curiosity?

Thanks for the comments. But you should know that I've pretty much lost interest in drawing Shipbucket scale so there won't be anything new in the near future.
About your quesion, I honestly can't tell since it's from an earlier period where I didn't have the knowledge to properly plan such design and just drew according to looks.

I do agree that Shipbucket has to many rules which of cause also limits the artistic expression. Yet I hope you will continue to draw ships from your imagination instead because you sure are gifted ;-P

Thanks, a lot but it's not so much about the Shipbucket rules etc. It seems more like I've lost interest in the whole naval thing...
Its pretty interesting I started with military aviation, went to tanks, got to firearms and equipment, changed to ships and now I'm into army uniforms and equipment. Of course only as the main interest.

Nice carrier. Would you be willing to draw a South African aircraft carrier for me? Shipbucket has most of the parts I'd like to add to it. If you say yes, I can give you specifications for the carrier.

But you could use my work as a base and start over and draw a carrier for yourself, Shipbucket is pretty easy to draw. Just give proper credit.

On which side is the island? One can't really see it from the side. Is it powered by nuclear reactors, fuel cells, or has your future world already cracked commercial fusion? What would you say the weight of the vessel is? Around 35 000 to 40 000 tons?

The island is like standard on the right side seen from the stern. It's powered conventionally like all smaller aircraft carriers today. And yes, The weight should be somewhere between 35000-45000 tons.

Meaning, by diesel turbine engines? I thought you said that your stuff takes place in the next decade. I may be overly optimistic, but I think fuel cell technology would be efficient enough to use on large surface vessels at that point. Type 212 U-boats already have fuel cell powerplants.

Well to be honest I haven't thought that much about what engines this ship should use. I just chose ine system which seemed matching. Of cousre fuel-cell will be developed further but I'm not sure if they will be efficent enough to move a ship of that size, by being small enough, in the next few years.

It's almost usable for all missions. Escort, support of landing troops or light amphibious assaults.

Yeah, stealth is today very important, even on carriers. And about the plane, I guess I over did it. I just thought what I would like to have in numbers but then I checked some sources and saw that it is too much for that size of a ship. I'll reduce it to just 25.

Du hast Rampen an den Seiten, ich nehme an, das Ding hat eine sekundäre Transportfunktion?
Kleiner Rat : Ich nehme an, das auf dem Bug ist eine Schanze? Es wäre besser, sie zu entfernen, um den Helikoptern mehr Platz zu bieten (besser für ein Landungsschiff) oder ihre Steigung zu erhöhen, damit die Lightnings und Harriers mehr Lasten tragen können (besser für den Flugzeugträger).
Vielleicht das VLS in mehrere kleine Systeme aufteilen, damit ein Glückstreffer nicht die ganze Flugabwehr ausschaltet.
Ansonsten gefällt er mit. Gasturbinenantrieb, denke ich? Oder Nuklear?

Denk dran ist mein aller erster Versuch, ich bin so wie so noch etwas am überlegen ob ich nicht den kompletten Kontrollturm umsetze (weiter nach vorne), aber ich werde deine tips bei den Modifikationen berücksichtigen.
