Description
So this was a [really fun] commission for .

He wanted me to come up with my rendition of Retsu but to try and keep it as close as possible to his original vision. I think the idea is Retsu was a street thug before becoming a monk. I looked up pictures of Retsu and tried to imagine what he'd look like as a younger man. I didn't want to make his eyebrows too large because I figured they grew out even larger as he got older. I was playing with the idea of him slightly balding but that really didn't pan out. :/
