There were ten rings forged by the original Primes. They have seen some Cybertronians who would make major impacts on the universe. And thus, their powers were put into the rings, and two were lost when they were sent to Earth during the war. One of these rings has fallen into the hands of Seth Eaton, and he bears the power of Optimus Prime. (Tried to think of one that would be created by all thirteen original primes, but couldn't.
