Description
Acrylics, pastel and charcoal on Rives BFK 22x30 inches. This is part of a series I am working on where the artwork can be set side by side and it should look like a long continuous work. Like a diptych but touching and of course involving more artwork.

The familiar symbols of your work, but, as always, done in a new and fresh way!
I especially admire the three stalk-like things with the white bulbs/flowers at the end, for some reason.

Thank you! The plant forms are an idea from a few years ago. Sort of a "spirit flower" idea. They are inspired by the pod like buds of poppies and another flower( Mexican something... I can't remember). Something about the stalk and bulbous shape are appealing. The ovoid shape to them are similar to the egg and cocoon and I use them for that reason as well.

Beautiful, wondrous work. I wish I could stitch together images like this, and create a visual language of the subconcious, like here . . .

Looks calm on the surface, but not content (I'm probably just projecting, perhaps that's not what you intended but I see that in it). By itself it is interesting, very introspective, and I would like to see the rest.

I'm leaving this open to interpretation. I am interested in reading and hearing how others perceive this. Thank you for sharing your insight.

Nifty. I feel like I am looking into a world of single cell organisms.

So wonderful. The texture bursts right out at you. And the idea sounds so great! Do you know how many pieces you're going to make in the series?

I guess I answered the quantity in the other reply! Make as many as I can stand!
Thank you!
